Lately for the past couple of months I've been slowly getting a droning noise coming from the NSF I believe.

So after spending money on the front wheel bearings being replaced (FAG bearings), it's made no difference.....

So... Issue still remains.
# Starting from roughly 45mph upto 80ish the droning gets louder when slowly accelerating. Sounds like NSF.
# When running straight and turning right, nothing but once you start to apply left lock the NSF area feels like there's a grinding/dragging noise.
# Sometimes at low speeds when applying brakes the same grinding/dragging noise cancelling be felt and heard.

All issues related to NSF area....

Any guesses on what it could be?

Back in the summer the NSF CV BOOT was replaced for a genuine one as the old one had a slight tear where it means the shaft. Joint it self had no water or dirt ingress and was fully cleaned to bear metal with plenty of genuine VAG CV grease.

I get a horrid droning noise comming from the NSF also, usually when the misus in the car, haha
Have you had the tyres checked, I did actually have a drone and was caused by the tyres, poor contact on road surface

Yeh the tyres are ok with plenty of tread, pressures ok... They are Maxxis MZ-1's which do create some road surface noise but it's definitely not them.

I have swapped front to rear and vice versa but again no difference.

Another thing to add is the Haldex was serviced around 3-4months ago using genuine VAG parts. Front box and rear diff has had oil replaced at same time.

I know this sounds a bit crazy but in the past I've used a digital voice recorder and cable tied it to suspect parts of the car to pinpoint where the noise is. I just used a cheap £10 thing off ebay, very useful

Drone is still there....
When applying left lock, you can feel it through the steering wheel and floor a grumble/grinding noise coming from NSF area.

Really need to do more investigating but all suspension parts and brakes on the front is pretty much new.

I'm getting a drone sound coming from the rear of my car at over 40MPH, upon checking it today. I've noticed that one of my rear wheel is buckled on the inside.
