Hi all,

I have an S3 8V so the car needle sweeps on startup. However I've just been watching the following video and noticed that that S3 has a bunch of red lights that light up alongside the needle sweep.

What do everyone else's do? I want those lights enabled. Any ideas?

Video of it working:

Makes sense given that's speedo related etc. Shame as I don't have ACC. Wonder if the lights are there and a VCDS tweak could display them?? Thanks.

You are probably right. I might try playing and seeing if I can trick the car into thinking ACC is installed. Just thought it looked cool on startup.

I would be surprised if the instrument clusters are not the same with or without ACC. I havent seen anyone find it with VCDS yet though :-(

That's what I'm hoping. A weekend project perhaps. Not sure when I'll get a chance to look but be assured I will look ;)

Afraid so? Why's that a bad thing?

Deleted my post as it was a duplicate of yours (which I somehow missed). I was referring to the fat that A3 owners unfortunately (for them) don't get needle sweep by default. Operating under the personal preference that needle sweep = a cool thing.

Yeah it's a bit of a nuisance but I can see why Audi do it. It's obviously a feature for their S and RS models? :/
