hi all,

im chaning my exhaust to a milltek and changing the CAT too. just wondering wether you lot think its worth keeoping the OE exhaust incase i change it back for selling etc? should i keep the old CAT and exhaust?

If you can store them o.k then for sure. Although the new exhaust will only fit B6.

cool, how much of a difference did you notice with the CAT getting fitted? both noise and performance?

thanks :)

Noise is a little bit deeper but the performance was a significant difference. IMO it is not worth doing just a cat back exhaust. The sports cat is worth every penny.

I've kept mine but I'm lucky enough to be able to 'hide' it in a corner at work.... It's a big lump and comes off in on piece!

I can confirm the Milltek quattro 1.8t system is exacly the same as the B7 2.0Tfsi Quattro system except the downpipe.

Who are you using for the re-map Kenny?

According to the Milltek brochure the parts used are different. Cat is different, downpipes and part of the centre section. I was studying this recently as I have been debating a DTM and getting it modified, of course!

Hi Plat.

I've got the delivery note/parts list for mine when it was delivered and all the parts bar the downpipe are listed as 1.8tq/2.0Tfsi . The centre 'Y' piece came with an adaptor sleeve which is for the 2.0T downpipe.

At first I thought Milltek had sent the wrong 'Y' or downpipe untill I realised you simply remove the sleeve and don't use it on the 1.8tq 6speed.

I wouldn't think for a moment the Cat' was the same.

Kenny - have you bought a S4 ARB?

I've got mine for sale if you're interested. I've fitted an RS4 one.
