Prawn and BigAls A3 Track Car

No time to write a proper report right now!

Dony was good.
Very destructive on tyres thought.
Early in, a maxsport died:



We had several running issues, which are rare. In this case, running too lean. Causing LOTS of flames:



It was a VERY good day though:



And I didn't even realise, another slick had expired!

Why so lean?
Have you got the LCR pump feeding a swirl pot.

Apologies. Too rich! It was late and I was tired :laugh:

Fix was to pull the fuse on the inline pump. Leaned it out a touch.

Something hardware wise wrong somewhere. Maybe some sort of leak.

Runs a sytec Intank feeding an 044 inline.

It depends how you define overtaken I guess?

Holding people up and having to let them past and watch them vanish into the distance? Doesn't really happen all that often.

When you've had a few decent laps with someone close behind, it's always fun to swap places and see if they can put any distance between you, to see if you were matched well, or holding them up.

The session jojo mentioned was with Bon in his 911 turbo S.
After 3 really great laps I decided to let him lead, and kept glued to his bumper for 2 solid laps before he over ****** it into old hairpin and nearly ended in the gravel.

Same with Bon and Al in the gt3 CS behind us for a few laps. Let them past to see if they're quicker, and no gap opened up at all.

Generally, when you're very evenly matched, it's easier to chase than to lead.



That's on low boost too :)

And my 3 door fiesta, which has somehow swallowed 5 wheels WITH tyres on, and an additional 5 tyres to be swapped onto the rims!
 
Did we follow him a few laps? I must be brain dead from the G forces your car can make Prawn! Thought it was the same lap you let him drive by?
But anyways, bucket seats and harnesses FTW, I was quite relaxed in the passenger seat, same in Jardo's car, no need to hold onto the grab handle at all, so cheers for the joyride guys! :racer:
 
he followed us for 3 laps Jo, you didn't notice because he was behind :laugh:

We let him past, then sat on his bumper for about 1.5 laps before the pressure of being followed by a tatty hatch back got too much :laugh:

Had some absolutely epic laps with Al and Bon at Dony.

I spoke to one of Als passengers who said we were going well and was glad we'd fixed the boost problem. I said I Hadn't fixed the boost problem at all so let him past incase I was holding him up, and was very pleased with his response; 'Oh god no, not AT ALL'

I knew he was behind, he tried to pass the lap before, but you outbraked him! Lol. It was fun though, good etiquette from most of the drivers on track to be fair!
 
Jardo came to see me the other day.

We are pizza, he bled his brakes, and we watched some of my GoPro footage which turns out to be hilarious!

Today I took a trip to kwik fit and had the Dunlops mounted onto my SuperTs;



And whilst I was there I had slightly newer slick mounted onto the rota to replace the one that went to the cords at Dony:



Wheels on the car. Battery charged and I took it for a quick spin. All seems well :)

And now it's 4am and I'm still at work laying Tarmac in Southampton!



Need some sleep!!!!

Must be damn boring at the rate you were circulating :laugh:

I just don't gel with it, and the 8 sessions nature means a MAX of 1 hours driving time for me when sharing with dad.

For our needs, it's just not worth the expense. Will be going for the social only and getting pax laps.
