Just spoke to my dealer regarding my car (wk43) and it is apparantly sat at the UK port! Said 2 weeks max till it arrives at dealers but should be a lot quicker.

Just spoke to my dealer too. My car has arrived at the dealership!!!! :))

BUT they gave me a pick up date of 20-25th November.

Glacier White Audi A3 Sportback.

Did they give a reason for the wait?

put it down to preperation and busy handing over cars.

But the main thing is I know my car is at the dealers! :)

Is it not frustrating though? Knowing its so tantalizingly close? Just behind a fence at the dealers.

Its enough to drive someome mad!

im going crazy here!!

I bet I'm going even more crazy than Inti786! Your BWs are later than mine and yet mine, as I haven't heard anything to the contrary, is still stuck at Emden!

It's been there so long now that it will take longer to prepare due to all the seagull sh*t and rust from the salt water in the air......

My saloon has been in the UK since 9th October and it's still not at the dealer yet, my patience is running low now. If I don't hear anything tomorrow I'm going to push them a bit harder as this is getting silly now.
I'm almost certainly going to miss the original collection date they gave me which is annoying as at one point I thought I'd be collecting it weeks early.

It does seem that those who have ordered saloons are the ones who are most in the dark...

The hold-up at Emden I can understand but not once it's reached the UK port. Martin, do you think that it might not actually be in the UK as yet?

My understanding, which may be incorrect, is that the transfer of cars from ports to dealerships in the UK remains the responsibility of Audi UK rather than the individual dealerships. If that's the case, then I would think that a telephone call to Audi CS rather than your dealer should be your next step.

Good idea, my saloon though was subject to a four week delay but that was down to the factory. The time taken for it to arrive at the dealership from Sheerness was normal but I do wonder if Audi and Audi UK have been caught out by the popularity of the saloon in the UK..

Got it! Horrible photo but you get the idea.

I got a few emails stating it was in production, then at Emden and then in the UK waiting for transport to the Dealer. Since then it's all come to a halt although I have had an email recently from the dealer saying they would be in contact when the car is in Aberdeen so I can choose a registration.
So I don't know for sure where it is but the dealer has said it's in the UK awaiting transport so that's all I've got.
I actually wondered if I was just getting bumped so the more vocal customers could get their cars quicker.

It does genuinely sound like it has reached our shores then. I dread to think how long it will be until I actually get my hands on mine...

Keep the faith fellow waiters. It's really very great when you finally get to pick it up. Drove mine from Coventry to St Albans this evening, ****** loved it.

This is the worst bit of the wait. Not knowing which boat your car is on.

The days seem to be passing slower and slower....

Latest update for mine (BW43) from Audi CS is that its still at Emden after 3 days and can be there for 10-15 days :(. That is apparently OK as "Sales" have given last week of November as delivery date to my dealer (to cover themselves no doubt)

Dealer was helpful but explained they can't do anything to speed things up until its in the UK at which point they can expedite things.

Just seems a bit random how long cars are waiting to get on a ship at Emden. You'd think there'd be a system...

Mine has been at Emden since 15 October. My dealer promised on Monday that she'd email me when it was placed on a ship, I have heard nothing.

I emailed Audi CS this morning for an update. No response.

I am getting seriously pee'd off now. That's the 15 days up and, as far as I am aware, my car is still stuck at Emden.

That is not good. Can only hope you get some good news soon.

Audi CS told me that a car that has been at the port for 10 days generates an alert (sounds more like the snooze function on an alarm clock). 10 days seems a long time for an asset to be sat around doing nothing and a haphazard process. My thinking is that they should know as soon as the car arrives at the port which boat its scheduled to go on. I guess that they save money by doing whatever they are currently doing.

All sounds a bit like the luck of the draw on where in the massive car park at the port they happen to stick your car.

Is there no tracking for your cars in the UK?

For us in Australia, once the car is build, we can get the VIN, using that we can get the details of the ship it's loaded on, and the schedule/ETA, and some were even able to get tracking from the transport company that picks up the car from Port to the delivery to your dealership.

And that transport company does the check to make sure that the car made it off the boat without being damaged, plus take care of getting compliance plates attached, here that process took roughly under 2 weeks.

Nope...

Unfortunately not Longy :keule:

Strangely, VW Uk have a tracking system in place but Audi Uk don't

Just had the following email from my dealer:-
Hi Andrew
Your car is now in the UK at the port in Grimsby. It will be with us within the next 4-5 days. I will contact you as soon as it arrives.

I am a happy boy!

My salesman is back from holiday tomorrow, so hopefully mine will have made the same boat.

I saw the car I cancelled at Cheshire Oaks Audi this weekend. I parked up next to it in the RS4 and I'm happy to say I'm glad I went the direction I did! Mythos black looks so flat and the brilliant silver wheels looked crap against the black paint.

Good news Andrew.

I emailed my dealer today as my car has been in the UK since October 9th, they said it should be in Aberdeen towards the end of this week, so that'll be a month to get it from the Port of Tyne to Aberdeen if it does appear.
I might tempt fate and put some music on the new SD card ;)

Congratulations, I'm sure it now seems worth the wait
If my calculations are correct, it has arrived on build week plus 4
That gives us waiters a timescale to work from

Whoopee!! There, the repairs to your damaged car didn't take as long as you thought ;)

Spot on! Hopefully none of us need to factor in the wait experienced by @Martinbanshee which seems insane!

There are some marvellous detailing products on the market these days ;)

and dent removal tools :(

Seriously though, great news for you and we all want to see the photos so no excuses about needing the drive the car :D

I guess that's one thing that none of us will ever know (in terms of how many see bodywork repairs/touch-ups before we eventually receive them).

I will post photos up straight away; I know how nice it is to see others finally seeing their new pride and joy and ultimately it's what we all come on the forum for :)

I was joking! I'm sure yours will be perfect straight from the factory Andrew!

I know you were! But accidents do happen and they must have to carry out some rectification work on cars, it would be impossible for them to transport every single car perfectly. @veeeight will probably have some stats for us very soon :superman:

Pleased to read your good news. I picked mine up on Friday and I'm very pleased, I'm sure you won't be disappointed either. My wife has an A1 with the same engine and it's a cracker.
