BH's Sepang Blue Audi S3 Saloon

As I've mentioned in other posts, Audi had better flare those arches a la the RS6. We know from all the press reports that the RS3 mules have a wider track and that wider tyres can be specced, so we wait in hope that the designers do what they're paid for on this version and not just raid the parts bin as they did on the previous model.

There are die hard RS3 fans already, but apart from the front view, the previous gen RS3 is a total let down in the looks department. New front arches and a wider track up front. Ace.

The pic above looks more like a S3 etron mule than a RS3. If it comes like that I for one won't be putting money down.

If it does come in to the Dealers in January, I'll probably wait for the new reg plate 1st March TBH

& don't forget, our great British roads will be under about an inch of rock salt! :keule:
 
Mine is coming early next month. I'm waiting until January to pick it up. I'm still tempted to go and get it when it arrives!

I don't think you'll be able to wait two full months? It'll still be a 2015 car. Get a plate from the DVLA for very little if you didn't want the 64 plate.

You really going to miss out that driving experience for two months, unless you're not sure about the colour and you don't want to be seen in a blue car?

My money says he will give in and pick it up as soon as it arrives. Who gives a stuff about number plates! #TeamSepang!

Could just ask the Dealer not to tell me when it arrives. Then I won't have a clue when it arrived (I think lol) :keule:

Is Team blue colour (I cant bring myself to say Sepang) a facebook thingy? If so have no clue about twatter or face book etc.............

Would I do that? I mean...........
No point it trying to get all current owners of cars in that dismal colour :) to get resprays, so you're all safe from me.

BH - do you know if we road tax is already included in the price or is that separate?
 
So... I've just seen my first Sepang S3 Saloon in the flesh.. Sooooo much better than in the pics. I'm still Team misano but it does look surprisingly better in reality than it does in the pics I've seen :)

To the best of my knowledge LF it's included in the OTR charges. Will check when I get home later as I'm out at the mo using my iPhone

Yes, it's very hard to capture the beauty of these cars and just about any colour on photos. It's a different colour depending the lighting, bright sunny day, it sparkles and on a dull cloudy day, it can look quite a dark blue.

Will get my car back today after having Modesta applied, hopefully it will be early enough to take some nice pictures to share.

Just had a look on my order form LF. It is included mate :thumbs up:

Bottom right hand side of the order form, directly above the Total
'RFL INC FRF - £235.00'
(Road fund licence including first registration fee)

It did look much darker than the pics I have seen! Even though it was in a dealers under bright lights. I've got to say, it made me wonder if I'd made the right choice after all!
 
A photo after the Modesta treatment applied by OCD in Canberra:

I had to go overseas the day after, so will take more photos once I return in 5 weeks!
