haha they look mint lol, cant wait have mine dont now, didnt think that may other people would have had the idea tho lol,

when you fitted your air did you have to do any chassie mods to.get it to sit like that at the rear or was it pretty much a straight drop to that, also how does it sit at the front, my kit should be here this week and cat wait to crack on fitting it

the rear on mine just dropped straight into that, ive done done any work on the rear like

cheers for that,
i did hear somewere that the front would need a small notch, atleast the rears will be really low :) i imagine the front will sit low without the notch but will defo get one done
were did you get yours done as i will probably fit everything then get the notch done,

I really love your car btw it looks sick :) i can never get good photo's me, looks better in the flesh

cheers mate :) yeah its really come along in the last year happy with it now just wanna make a few more changes them im done.

You will be best doing the notch while fitting as to redo it you will need to take suspension off, its literally just three cuts on the inner arch with a grinder then knock it up, some ppl cut out the whole thing but depends how far you wanna go mate, theres a kid i seen on instagram who chopped it all out into his engine bay, so u can take it as far as ya want i guess

hmm then run a few welds down i imagine :) not got any pics of yours have you for refrence lol,
i think i will **** it tbh as i have done the rest of the car myself, and i think mine has come along way now, just need to fit the air ride, get the wheels done and get a few bits on the body touched up then think i should be happy lol but for how long i dont no :)
What air ride set up are you on mate, never had it before so just trying to figure oout if its money well spent lol, will make alot of roads accessable again,
are you running your ARB or has it been removed, whats it like when giving it some lol

haha always the case mate, i finished my list of mods i wanna do and its seamed to grow again ah well all in the fun.

im running air lift v2 set up on mine, tbh mate i can tell you now ull love it, there was countless places my car wouldnt go static now i can, rolling low is so cool too then just raising it for bumps ect

i will have a look on my phone see if i have some pics of the notch, the inner arch is double skinned so you only need to cut into the first skin mate. arb is still on aswell

it handles mint on air i thought it would be like a boat at first but round the country lanes it really performs!

hahaa i no the feeling pal lol, i thought i would be done after fitting the wheels and air but i am now thinking more ideas as we speak hahaa
and cheers for that, i was at ultimate stance yesturday and alot of the b6 and b7 car's i saw on air didnt look that low at the front, yours does tho is that because you have notched the chassie as i will defo do the work to have it that low

smoked led rear lights there a mod i forgot and not done lol, along with removing side repeaters out of the wings when it goes in for paint in a few week lol more mods :)

Who does your pictures mate as i can never do my car any justice with a camera lol
glad you are still running a arb aswell as i had been told to remove it or i wont get low enough, but dont like the idea of driving without one would always be in my mind that my car would want to spit me into a bush

You only need to look back at your green mk4 to know you'll never stop modding your cars

hahaaa i no i have a serious problem lol and seems to be getting worse with age not better lol
on another note i do miss my mk4 alot, that thing was quick pmsl

hmm
yours dosent sit to bad at the front, is that as low as it will go on the front or is there anymore room,
my air ride has arrived now so will be getting fitted tomorrow, guna start removing coils ect tonight :)
think i may cut the front the just for extra lows lol

That was a manic 12hr day fitting them bags. But damn does she look good, sure he will post some pics up soon lol

still fine tunning the damping ect to get it riding how id like
what preassures do people usually run at for normal driving in there bags
guna notch the front this weekend n finish the boot but its getting there

hahaa i no i love it, cant wait till the weekend when i can notch the front and get a bit more drop there aswell :) then wheels to be painted :-D

cheers pal, i think its really coming along now, :)
and cheers i got 80 and 65 in mine at the mo as it said in the manual minimum preassures should be 75 front and 60 rear,
Might lower the preassure abit and hjave a quick drive round tonight and see how it feels, Still adjusting the damping ssettings yet and need to notch the front :)

I set it just so the tires don't catch on full lock ! I have hit potholes in the road at that height and proper banged the suspension arms up into the arch though :(

Depending on where I'm going - usually somewhere I don't know - I'll run at 80/60 which gives me decent clearance for most obstacles.

Could you take some progress pics when you do the front notching ? I presume it's just the outer skin where I can see that my control arms have been resting.

ahh, i may just keep my normal ride height at were it is now as roads are terrible round here and i do a hell of alot of mooching about,

yea ill get you some pics pal and upload them when i do the notch, from what i have been told you just cut the inner wing and knock it up into the next skin :) will be doing that this weekend whilst adjusting the front dampning alittle, think its set to hard at the mo,

Well this morning and this afternoon i have started making a nice large double ply skinned box for in my spare wheel well for my compressor as the noise of that thing is driving me insane ofter less than a week hahaa, plan on getting the boot all sorted over the weekend with compresser hidden and boxed and top of tank showing with a small box behind the tank for polish and stuff i always have in the boot, the right side boxed in were i have the airlift managment module. and a false floor covering all the wires pipes and box in the spare wheel well, once complete will try get a good match of carpet :)

I cant remember what my dampening is set to but its pretty stiff.

Good call about trying to muffle the sound of the compressor - mine does my head in too but I've only just managed to finish my false floor after having the Air for almost a year ! I know AirLift sell compressor sound isolators, might be worth looking into ? http://bagriders.com/modlab/products/COMPRESSOR-ISOLATOR-KIT.html

how does yours ride with them set to stiff
mine dosent feel much different to my coils bumps wise, i think it still too stiff as i was hoping for a extremely cumfy ride lol suppose i will lose abit ov handeling tho if i soften it up to much,

that kit looks oright i wonder how much it makes it quieter by tho, ill upload a pic now of a big block of rubber i had lieing around, i plan on putting this in the bottom of the box then screwing the compressor to this :)

i know this is an only thread but i have just come across it lol

I love your car .. looks awesome

I have the same colour and im wanting to do the same with my chrome ...for the same reason
question regarding the trim on the inside of your car, did you rub down the texture (bubbles) so it was smooth and then paint?

also regarding the inner arch gap, ive read that people have just simply placed a thick book like the yellow pages ontop of wheels and lowered the car (book pushes arch out) and it has worked lol

Again love what you have done with your car

im sure youve done more since

Nov 14 2014....2016 now :D

Yeah i've read this a couple of times, wondered what happened to this car and if the owner still has it or not?
