I have on order the 5 parallel spoke design alloys. I could have specified the 10 spoke for an additional £200 but decided I didn't want to spend the money.

However, the opportunity has arisen to buy a set of the 10 spoke for around £600, the 5-spoke design is fairly common so I wanted a set slightly different. So my thoughts would be to swap the tyres over when the car arrives and then have a set of brand new 5 parallel spoke's to sell, probably making a bit of money at the same time!:p

Would you do this though? My car will be Daytona Grey.

My car is coming with the 5 spokes and is Daytona. Best of a bad bunch for me :(. If they did the S3 19" wheels on the SB I would have gone for them (friend has them on his 2.0 TDI saloon)

Tempted to swap the 7 spoke 18" wheels from our A1 over if they fitted!

The S3 19's only come on the S3 Saloon don't they? Not sure I could put up with the harsh ride the 19's would give me.

The 'wing' design 19" wheels can be had as an option on the whole saloon range. Friends car rides perfectly well on the standard (sports) suspension. His was a 6 month old car which was one of a number of 150 TDI saloons that appeared to be specced at start of the year with this (£1495) option and probably run as dealer demonstrators - looks great as well.

When he went for a test drive he thought they were 18" and salesman wasn't sure as well, just mentioned they were S3s. Had to break the bad news to him about the cost of tyres of 19s versus 18s though! My A4 on 19s is fine, but everyone has their own ideas on what is an acceptable ride.

Love the look of my 5 spoked wheels but they're a ****** to keep clean

I picked up an EZ Detail wheel brush at the last Goodwood FoS and its made wheel cleaning a lot easier and quicker (we have 18" and 19" versions of the double 7 spoke wheels on the cars).

Why is 10 spoke easier to clean? It's twice as many spokes to clean isn't it?

Personally prefer the standard 5 spoke to the 10s you're considering. But each to his own. Yes the 5 spoke are not easy to clean but I've had far worse in my time - BMW multi-spokes wheels for instance.

That's the thing, I'm not sure I do prefer the 10 spoke. There isn't much in it for me but I do see a lot of S-Line's with the 5 spoke and I'd like mine to look a little different. As dts439 says, the choice isn't that great on the S-Line.

I have the s-line wheels and I have four different brushes I use to clean them with and I find I don't find them anymore difficult to keep clean. Just choose the right tools...

If it were me & I had a SB, 10 spoke all the way :thumbs up:

10 spoke. They look great....

5 spoke! more noticeable! stand out more by a mile! do it!

Is that including tyres? If not what makes having audi stamped on them so special?

No, just the alloys. I like OEM and more specifically OEM parts that were factory options for the car I have/am getting. Bit anal I know but that's what I prefer and like.

I'd even be a little cagey about putting a set of the genuine OEM S3 standard alloys on it.

Got the 10 spoke titanium finish on my Daytona Grey SB with Black Pack.

I really was in two minds about the wheels but, as someone mentioned above, I also just wanted something a bit different. I don't dislike the 5 spoke twins, but too many of them around!

(Perhaps they should be the only option with Sepang ;) )

Ten spoke look great but I've found the five spoke wheels easier to clean..................

Do you guys think the 10 spokes are worth £600? They are pretty much in brand new condition

Don't suppose you've got any pictures of this setup? I'm still trying to decide...

**Edit** Nevermind, I found them :)

I have the ones on the white A3 below:

So I prefer the 5-spoke. But I've seen someone post a 10-spoke on here before in black which made the Audi look like a classic A3. Both styles look great.

We have the 10-spoke, and I hate to clean them :(

I have 2 sets of the 10spokes.............does that mean I get two votes??

S3 wheels...just so happens I have some for sale!

Well, it's 50/50 on the poll so I guess the answer is to stick with what I've got :)

The seller of the wheels also put his price up by £175!

Maybe it's something I'll do after a little while of ownership when I get bored of the 5 spokes.

Thanks for all your comments.
