Central Locking problem

I'm interested in this to, I have the exact same problem but on my front passenger door, all other doors open fine but this has to be opened from the inside the first time after the car is unlocked, and again then opens fine from outside until the car is locked again

Me to rear door doesn't open on first unlock. Any clues and help appreciated

I also have the same issue, took it in for a service the other day and the issue comes up when they scanned the car for faults.

They said it was a common fault and think it is the door lock but can't confirm until they strip the door down and investigate further.

They said if it is the door lock I would be looking at around £250, so I told them to hold back for now, so if anyone knows a quick fix for this I would also be very interested.

I've got exactly the same problem on my A3. The rear doors won't unlock, but after you have opened from the inside, then opened/closed a few times it all works faultlessly again. Yet, sometimes it doesn't do it at all....and all is well. I tried cycling the locks on and off with the remote several times, but all that happens is that remote locking stops working completely for a few minutes, because the computer thinks that the kids are playing with it (that's what my ex-Audi mechanic told me, anyway).

I was on the verge of taking the door card off and having a poke inside with a can of WD40 to see if it just needed lubrication, but then it started doing it with the rear passenger side door as well!!! - bizarre. Again, it's an intermittent problem - sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't. I was beginning to think it was a purely electronic or software issue myself - maybe it isn't letting the deadlock off every time.......any suggestions would be welcome.

I've brought a replacement door hinge, just need someone to fit it. Common problem part

Hi just out of interest. Where you able to fix your car door issue as I am facing the exact problem u did say u had?? Any follow up info on your outcome will be appreciated?

New door lock mechanism needed...about £200 for a garage to repair incl parts
