So a quick update on this.. its had a new set of rims put on 20" which suits and fills the arches better.. They were SL55 fitment, but i had them machined and sprayed in Metallic anthracite.. Staggered and stretched... Titanium grey window strips done too.. as the chrome was a bit bling.

For a daily driver its perfect..

Then things got interesting... with the love for the RS5 i went on the hunt to find a replica part thaqt looked like this

On my travels i stumbled upon this with a new bumper:

And some custom tailpipes to go too... there not that big but will suffice for now...

With the back almost sorted it was time to tackle a facelift conversion...

After much deliberation... the EIBACHs were ditched for these bad boys... The best Coilovers for the price and well built too... Once it was all setup it drove better than any kit i've fitted..

The back end was ready for the exhaust sytem, which was only temporary till i got some inserts off an RS5 to suit.

With the back end sorted it was time to give the front a bit more aggression than just a facelift.. So we sourced the BEST RS4 replica bumper to fit...

When it came back from paint... it was clear that we did it justice... It sat and looked perfect!

What a transformation. Wheels suit it perfectly imo. What are they? Some links to the parts would be great! :)

Complete front end changed..

Map was a stage 1 then.. Now running a stage 2 with dpf delete. Rolling road soon.

Standard clutch is fine.. The beauty of Edc17 torque limiters.

So as some may have noticed... Being an early build.. It got gigantic wing mirrors that look like they came off a q7 lol. So i got a set of S4 ally mirrors... Which fitted straight on but the loom came with another two pin plug which i left unplugged as my door modules has no space for it. Any ideas what its for?

Wouldn't it of been better to start with a S4 or 3.0tdi? A lot of work for something with more bark than bite..

In an ideal world yes... But its got enough poke for me. For speed i have a R35 with 650 bhp

Extra two pins maybe for folding mirrors or heated mirrors, if your original ones didn't have one or the other fitted.

My original mirrors came with one plug. The s4 ones come with the same one but anothervtwo pin one. The mirrors heat as original and goes in all directions as original. Baffled as i cant think what it coul be.

This is what i mean..

Maybe for electric folding mirrors?

Did a bit of comparing, via what was up for grabs on ebay, looks like S4's has electric folding mirrors with the two extra wires, non electric folding do not, so as I've suggested, the two extra wires maybe for electric folding, if you want these to work (electric fold), you will need compatible door mirror control modules, and possibly VCDS to activate, I think.
Suggest you confim all of the above before purchasing control modules though.

Hmmm.. Mirrors came off a 2010 s4 which had a tendency to not have folding mirrors. Anyone got a pic of a folding mirror loom?

Dab 12v on the wires and see what happens :)

Its deffinately not folding. Confirmed today its for lane assist. After 2009 wing mirror production was fitted with this two wire harness on all mirror assemblies, as it made picking on production easier.

I guessed right then :) does that mean you could do coding to get lane assist, or do you need anything else I wonder? And when you say after 2008, do you mean 2010 or from 2009?

After 2009 including 59.

Anyone retrofitted electric seats?

Yes i have ,i guess you mean heated ? pm me if you want and i will fill you in with the costs etc.

Hi @NVM

First of all love the thread totally admire all your effort you have put into the car its stunning

just got a few questions for you when you did the facelift conversion did that include New bonnet, wings, lights, bumper how difficult was it

Also are you planning to face lift the rear to the same style of lights because i would love to do this myself

Bonnet, wings, bumper, headlights, front panel, crash bar, washer jet lines, trim cover for headlights and undertrays

So with 200+ bhp and circa 1600kg's this can give the standard brakes a hard time. So it was time for a set of 4 pots with a good size disc and braided lines. Its not a track car nor is it driven like its stolen.. But the confidence a good brake setup gives is what im after. Rs4 brakes would be overkill and S4 setups would not jnspire me.

Oem Audi 4 pot calipers painted black with red brembo logo and 320mm x 30mm discs with HEL braided brake lines.

You can see the difference in thickness and pad surface area

After a full bleed and beading in... Result is quite shocking!!!!
Initial bite and pedal feel is like the oroginals, but any more than 45% on the brake pedal and your eyes almost come out their socket.lol

Will do a bit more aggressive testing to check the discs cooling ability. But overall chuffed :D

Not the biggest setup! But ideal for fast road use!!

Hi mate, just wondering if this is a bolt up job or is there modifications as i can see the drill out in one of your pics ;) ....my a3 had to have a few adjustments to get the wings to all line up correct ...would that be the case with the a4?
Thank you for any info!

Can you provide more detail on the rear splitter? Where is it from? Which bumper did you fit it to? How did you got it?
