Would you purchase the 2013 TT 1.8L or 2014 A3 1.8L Cabriolet?

Hi there

New to the forum, so please excuse the the 'newbiness' of the thread

Looking to get a new car, have been looking at Audi two door cars.
The 2014 A3 Cabriolet with the top down is fun to drive - looking at either the 1.8L or the 2.0 Diesel

However have seen a 2013 TT 1.8L for sale at below the cost of a new A3 Cab.

I'm aware that the TT Mk3 will be available in Australia from February 2015.

To be honest, a brand new TT is out of the budget at the minute, which is closer to a new A3 1.8 Cab.

The plan is to drive the car for two years, then move it on, so need to consider the resale value of the TT Mk2 and A3 Cab.

So, my question is: Is it worth getting the 2013 TT, knowing that the new model will be out soon,

Or would be it be better to get the 2014 updated A3 (which I'm presuming the styling will be around for 5-6 years) and resell that in a couple of years

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

I'd go for the TT, personally don't like the look of the A3 cab. The new TT does look great but it is a bit pricey, and you may be able to talk the price of th mk2 down a bit

I voted TT having said that you posted it in the TT section , wonder weather the same question in the A3 section would get the votes the other way? do you need four seats? because you sure ain't going to get them in the TT I also agree with the above post if I needed an A3 it would not be a cab it doesn't look right! my opinion only of coarse so only you really can make this choice
