If anyone has what bulbs did you go with ,i know there H11's did you use 4300k,5000k etc, which are best to match oem headlamps

I'd like to know this too but I'd prefer to just change the bulbs to a match the Xenonons.

I put @t8ups h8 ice white plasma bulbs into my facelift b8.

Great job and very bright.

theyre look a good match,........ive installed 35w Ac 5000k.........but they look a little blue-ish,i tried 4300k.......too yellow, does it depend on the ballast for the colour,or bulb?

thanks........ive heard 55w ballast makes light whiter, either way il stick to 35w to be safe.

I am the same as Ruairi, I have a set in my B8 and my Dad has a set in his A3 Saloon!:) .. Nicer matching with the LEDs!:) .. Even convinced Dad to upgrade his interior lights to led!lol ...

what k rating and are yours 35w ac ballasts,.......or 55w

Why do it. You'll hardly use them. Possibly once a year for about 3 minutes. Any other use is dazzling to other road users IMHO

I installed some h11bulbs off eBay and they are rated 4200k colour temperature and almost match the headlights and LEDs on the s3.
I can post pics once washed.

They dazzle by reflecting off the water in the rain and are illegal to use for anything below 100m visibility in fog.

Fitted a set of Philips Diamond vision in the fogs & there a good match with the DRL & Xenons.

This. I wish more people knew this. Fog lights seem to be used as an additional source of lighting these days, or because people think they look cool. They are for fog and fog only, hence the name!

Rear fogs **** me off more than fronts. Slightest bit of mist and the car in clear view in front puts their rear fogs on!

Back on topic, I can't understand putting HIDs in fogs as they take time to warm up so no good as coming home lights.

Hummm, exactly, though I would not mind getting H11s that closely match the HIDs etc and are road legal and don't have a blue filter. I fit Philips Vision Extreme to mains and dips on wife's Polo and they do perform better than normal Philips in every way but in lifetime - which is to be expected!
