Hi guys,

So my bad boy arrived last week and I finally took delivery yesterday. I have to say that I don't miss my RS3 one bit as the S3 ticks all the right boxes in terms of performance, luxury and feel. My only disappointment was the OEM wheel. I sorted that out though

i really like the fact that you put the new wheels on even before the reg plates. the new wheels suit it really well and in my opinion still look very oem, good choice...

That looks fabulous. Enjoy your new car, the wheels look great but I'm not a fan of 19"s as most modern roads are far too pot holed, but they are probably good where you live.

I'm assuming the part of the world your in doesn't spec 19's as standard on the sedan :think:

I do love the look of this though. It looks awesome.

What's the specs if the rims and tyres?

Any rubbing ?

Nice Rabbit, very nice. Stock ride height doesn't look that bad, but it might be the wheels.

What changed between the RS and this S3 as you had some tasteful mods and performance upgrades on the RS that made that car sweeter. Or is it just the sedan shape?

The new version RS is going to be something very special I reckon. You be changing this one out when they become available?

20 x 8.5 / 5x112/ ET40 / 235/30/20

No rubbing whatsoever. I'll test that theory when I fit the lowering kit.

I have a habit of changing cars every 2-3yrs. The only car I ever had an attachment too was my Mk5 GTI. The RS was a nice car and had loads of power too but the chassis was dated. The S3 sedan appealed to me in every way. It reminded me of my B8 S4...just smaller. That was the reason I got rid of the S4, it was massive in comparison.

My name is on the waiting list for the 8V RS but that will be price dependent. If it's over 700k, I'll hold onto this car.

As an aside.....
Not that the OP lives in California, but.....

Steve Jobs never ever had a license plate for his SL55 AMG.

There is a kind of loophole in California, where you have 6 months to obtain and display license plates for a new car.

Guess what. He changed his car every 5.99 months, for an identical model, never ever having to display plates !

This is the USA!

The first speed camera was erected in the late 1980's. It lasted 1 night before being shot down by a rifle/shotgun. They replaced it, and the next night, it was destroyed again. They never bothered after that.

Red light cameras exist in some States, but very few states have gatsos. They are deeply unpopular with the electorate, so no administration ever considers implementing them widely.

God bless 'murica. Love the direct action that citizens take on occasion ;)

In this country we just sleepwalk into whatever Europe dreams up. Surveillance Society? Yep Sure. :(

Agreed on the sleep walking! Still sleep walk even after we get shat on at any euro vision song contest, mind you we are pretty pants at that! Might as well send s club 7 next year!

We don't have shotguns we do it bad boy Baghdad stylee with tyres lol

It's interesting to note the little differences in other markets. You have the high-res screen from the Tech Pack but your MMI buttons are black rather than the silver we get here :)
