I appreciate this isn't a "how to", but I'm hoping it will turn into one....How to buy new OEM wheels at the best price.
There are more and more eBay sellers from places like Poland selling genuine OEM wheels for silly money and I've spent some time talking to various companies trying to find out how.
VAG dealers get their wheels delivered in individual VAG boxes / packaging.
Other legitimate internet businesses get theirs in transportation packaging not suitable for couriers.
The wheels from eBay come with no packaging from suppliers (apparently).
A US wheel business I spoke with said all their Ronal Audi OEM wheels were refurbished to original factory standards (so presume they only had cosmetic damage as per earlier point about "seconds").
Does anyone know more?

- Firstly, I've seen them and they look the real deal, although not as perfect as they should be (I'm talking about 20 inch rotors).
- Second. You can buy them from a Ronal dealer in Germany much much cheaper than the UK VAG dealers who have to buy through VAG UK.
- Thirdly, Ronal are not allowed to sell "seconds".
