Hey guys,

I had a Revo Stage 1 on my A3 along with a Forge diverter valve a couple of months back and have got to say the car has been brilliant ever since, pulls like a train that is until last week at least!

I had the timing belt and water pump done at Audi Wimbledon and their service was very very good. However the car was returned to me feeling a little limp-wristed and very much like it had returned to the stock power.

I took it back to Audi the next day, they checked the timing, for any fault codes, pipes within the belt general area, nothing looked abnormal.

Has anyone come across an issue like this before and any ideas what the likely issue could be? I need to get it back to Mark @ MDM for him to look at but in the mean time I'm open to your suggestions.

Thanks.

Its possible they updated the ecu & thus wiped the map, best thing to do is get your tuner to check ecu.

You can ask audi to check there logs of odis or vas to see if they updated any modules.

Thanks NHN. They claimed not to have touched the ECU but i'm not convinced.

Even if they have disconnected the battery the Revo map may have reset itself to Boost: 0 Timing: 0 Fuel: 0

I agree with LVS the Revo settings will be reset, you need either a Revo SPS switch to change them or pop in to where you had the map done.

Thanks guys. Sounds like it's a settings issue. Will let you know how I get on when I get it back to MDM.

LVs is there a cure? I don't particularly want to be taking it back to the shop every time the battery get's disconnected.

Buy an SPS switch, to reset it yourself when this happens. It only does it when the battery is disconnected for a period of time.

RIght then, SPS is the way to go but enlighten me on something. Does the map have to be loaded onto the SPS in order for you to have your various modes or does the SPS come pre-loaded in which case what is the point on spending £500 on the map when you can just buy the SPS?

The SPS let's you change the settings on the map loaded to your ecu. You plug the SPS in to your laptop and configure the boost, timing and fuelling settings. When you plug in to your car it changes the boost, timing and fuelling settings. It doesn't load a new map, it just changes the settings.

Strongly advise NOT to play with settings once loaded on sps

^^^ I was told the same thing!

I have Revo 2+ and a Revo SPS switch, and the company that did all of my work (AmD Essex) advised me to leave the settings alone.

It’s important to remember that every car is slightly different, and tuning companies tend to set a car up on that basis; meaning the settings configured for your car are the optimal settings based on your cars specific performance output...

Couldnt have said it better!!!

Hi guys, thanks for the input and it's now been sorted with the added benefit of an SPS. Been mapped to V Power now and runs (and starts oddly) so much smoother than before.
