hey, just wanted a bit of information off any cat people here...

Our 6mth old kitten has gone missing, it was only the 2nd time out, she left the house, after I put her out on Monday morning, and we haven't seen her since, now I know cats come and go as they please, and it can be a while before they come back...but how long is a while? It been 3 days so far...is that too short a timescale to expect her back?

Any info is gratefully accepted thanks

Sounds like she has got herself lost... We lost our kitten once a few years back, we think that she followed us down the pub on a Friday night and she got lost, we posted lost cat posters around the area we live and fortunately we got lucky and someone found our Pickle cat :) Post some wanted photos in your area... She'll turn up! :)

Hope you get her back...

We have three cats and in my opinion I'd say 3 days for a 6 month old kitten to have not come back is a bit long. The oldest of our three cats would occasionally disappear for two days at a time and was starting to lose weight but now spends the majority of his time in the house. The two youngest cats never stray far from the garden.

Thanks for the replies, we put flyers in all the doors around the estate, explaining what's happened and could everyone check their sheds and garages, as she can be quite nosy, we had one reply, and someone knocked the door, saying they may have seen her running past them while they were 3 point turning. Also a local builder I spoke with randomly may have seen her, in the back of his van...when he scarpered her, she ran over a fence and into someone's garden...like I say.... MAY have seen her, not 100%...

We've gone around calling her name shaking her cat biscuits, we must of looked well normal lol,I've even....looked for....roadkill....just in case, but that's come up negative...(thank god)

It probably doesn't help that we are at work all day, so she may be coming back...but we don't know, we are in all weekend so we can leave all doors open for her....in case she decided to come home, I do hope so, my 2yr old daughter is missing her,

'Daddy, where's Roxy, I miss my Roxy'

I hate not being able to give an answer, I'm her dad...I should be able to answer her with a genuine answer :-/

Thanks for all your help

Warren

One of my best mates has 4 cats and his other half is a bit paranoid about them so they all have these tags.

They do work very well as they have tracked cats down that have been locked in garages, and if you are worried about where they are you can quite quickly track them down.

I had looked at these on Sunday!!! Although only to be nosy to see where she is, typical isn't it lol

She'll turn up, and I bet she'll never stray to far away from home again!
Keep us posted AP...

Some sightings from locals in then area...although I'm yet to see her...so if could be other cats they've seen...keeping my hopes up...it's difficult...but I'm perservering

She's been found!! She was down the local bikers club eating their sausages lol

She is adorable!!! I am so happy you found her.:thumbs up:

So are we, she hasn't left us alone since. Eating for England too by the looks of things so far, we are trying to limit her food so she doesn't go,all out, then puke it all back up.

Good stuff.
When I moved out with the missus last year, she wanted a pet, so we got a cat.
I would have prefered a dog, but would have been unfair as we both work long hours and the dog would be alone for the majority of the time.

We got our cat "Cosworth" 13 months ago - Im a little overprotective over pets so couldnt stand the fact the cat would be out all day whilst we were in work.
We first let the cat have a wonder in the garden around 6 months ago, gradually she started jumping up onto the fence and wandering further and further.
The cat gets let out for 30 minutes in the morning before work - then for a few hours when we return home.
Funny thing is - the cat will come back into the house every 20 minutes or so to check we are both still there, then head out again.

I do wish Roxy did that lol

I went outside earlier, last week she would of just ran behind me, and followed me out, this time she scarpered behind the curtain and wouldn't come out from behind it until closed the door...I think she scared herself lol

Glad you got her back. Sometimes the Cat-Nav can be a bit iffy, and they do get lost.

We lost one of ours just over a year ago. She was a real hunter/mouser, and had a big area that she ranged around in. Still miss her.

Since she went awol, our other cat hasn't been let out. We also now have another who's deffo not allowed out.

Glad it all ended well. You do get attached to the little buggers.
