Let it grow out for a month or so, after a couple of weeks you'll be past the itchy stage.Morning,
UV, get some pics of then.
Beard trimming and maintenance has always raised a question or two.
Do you comb it, wash it like head hair, square it off or let is grow out as it would naturally?
If you do comb and trim it do you use normal items or special beard designed items?
What about a neck beard?
EDIT:=- Beard Comb

you can trim the neck line and cheek line in that time too in an attempt to keep it looking tidy.
Then once you have some length on it you can trim once in a while with clippers, either diy or at a barbers, but just sort out the random bits that stick out and look messy. Not so much trimming that you get nowhere.
I wash mine with shampoo and conditioner like i would my hair. Then i use an argan oil to condition it when its dry, and another peppermint oil to keep it looking nice and shiny.
i brush it in the morning and before bed.
And when nessesary il get the clippers out and trim any messy bits, mostly the sides.
Most of all, patience and discipline, thats all is needed. And some inspiration by people such as incredibeard.
Also, after a year it is called a yeard, and you can celebrate and have a beard party, i've another 8 months to go, but you will all be invited
