Decoding Sat Nav

Hi guys,

I parked my car up for a few weeks (2009 S3 Sportback) and the battery went flat. Upon charging it and getting the car running, I noticed the Sat Nav needs a pin.

I dropped the car off at Audi today and they're telling me it's not factory fitted, and the previous owner had it fitted so therefore they cannot decode it without proof of purchasing the Nav unit. I told them I think they are wrong because the screen on the Nav displays the chassis code of my car, so I'm waiting to hear back from them.

I would like to know where else I can get the unit decoded from if Audi fail to do it. Any online links etc?

So, I heard back from them a couple of hours after making this thread. They rang me saying yes it was factory fitted and it's now decoded. I still fail to understand how dealerships always make **** ups like this, and what they would have suggested if I didn't insist that it was factory fitted.

On another note, my steering controls no longer work, neither do the lights on the nav unit and it has to manually be switched on and off. It was perfect before. They'll be getting an earful in the morning.
