Hello guys

Would like to take your opinion on what choices we got for a ac vent mounted boost gauges

I'm in the process of doing this mod on mine, I will post a full write up in a week or so when it's done. I'm using this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400568539743?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
and this http://www.thettshop.com/latest.asp?cat=5009&product=802005
To get a nice OEM look I will be butchering the original vent to get the trim rings. Hope this helps.
Thanks for sharing buddy! Am trying to avoid butchering my OEM vent

Seems like it's either p3 gauge or AWE are the only kits available

No! worries. I didn't want to destroy mine either, so I bought one on eBay for £10 ;) I'm putting a micro-switch in mine so that the gauge turns off of you turn the vent dial.
I looked at the P3 Gauge but it's a bit expensive for me.

Hello I see u are talking about gauges I am putting two into my A3 but having trouble finding a gauge pod holder would u know where I can grab one from thanks

Check OSIR they got a dual gauge pod

i'm waiting for autopolar fis+. it adds almost all vcds readings to the central dis. the one for golf, skoda and seat is out, but the one for audi is taking a bit long. i've heard it's due Q4 2014 but doubt it.

That's a very nice choice! Was so close to buy it when I had my golf R. Then I sold the car

My gauge is one if my favourite mods!

Heard it is possible to fit gauge directly into vent (removing grills) and without using any mounts, anyone has tried this?

Yes, 60mm gauge fits in the vent with some modifications to the gauge and vent. I'm in the middle of doing this, will post a how to and pics when I'm done.

Hi mate, I got the links perfect could you let me know or a pic of where the wires have to go? I believe you said a sender on the engine wasn't it?
And the mounting bracket does that just screw in to the vent housing?
Cheers

The mounting bracket does just fit into the vent but in order to fit the silver bezel you will need to take a dremel to the bezel and trim off some lugs and make some grooves. There is a guide on Vagoc for this if I remember.

The adaptor is just a push fit into the hole, and the sender comes with the gauge and will need to be mounted where you like in the engine bay (mines on side of my battery cover out of sight) this has a wire the needs be be connected to live and earth and the 3rd wire goes to the back of the gauge!

I went the easy way and ordered a AWE vent gauge kit. But I asked to get a S4 B8 gauge instead of the A3 gauge they offer to suite my S3 gauges cluster

Please could you tell me where to get this gauge and anything else I need to fit it, also is there any chance of a how installs pep by step guide if this isn't asking to much,

Hi guys, where do I need to run wires to etc to get the gauge working and reading?

I'm sure I heared theres a sender somewhere but I'm not 100% sure?

Cheers

Update! Installed my AWE vent boost gauge. And damn this thing looks gorgeous!
Installation was fairly easy too.

Quick question as I'm still baffled, where did you have to wire it up to, to get a signal etc? Cheers

Abit to technical for me haha,

But cheers looks like it's going to have to be a payment to someone that know what they are doing haha

But fair play yours looks spot on mate.
