Ok guys had all my car cleaned and detailed yesterday while I was there I took the chance to fit some new bits one of them was a panel filter so I went to take the old one out only to find there wasn't one so put in the pipercross and since I did when I'm doing 70 and I put foot down to get to 80 the engine hesitates then kicks in and pulls any ideas what this could be as it didn't do it before and have no lights on the dash or anything ? Cheers guys

Why would they not have fitted an air filter is a little concerning & stupid, is it a new car to you?

Oh dear, I would be contacting the person you bought the car from.
Small particles sucked in can damage piston linings, piston rings and can upset valve stem seals.
You may be lucky and find its a sensor (may be the MAF).
Best thing to do would be to run VCDS diagnostics to see if there are any errors.
If not use VCDS to take some logs (maf reading, boost.etc)

Cheers for the replies and yes had the about a month now but don't really use it and as I say took it to a mate to have it detailed as it was in a sorry state lol I know it's not good to run with no air filter but I replaced it with the panel filter as soon as I knew the engine it self seems fine ticks over nice and runs a dream when running about it's only when at speed when I got it the guy said the turbo has this nice flutter and I thought this was strange as it has no uprated diverter valve but I only drove it about 4 times since I owned it

I plan on doing a full service on it anyway but what injector cleaner would u recomend buddy ?
