what MMI do I have? 2g or 3G ?

The wheel for navigating the system has a little flat joystick control on the top of it, that's 3G, although no idea on what screen it works lol

Toggles/Moves the map around whilst navigating I think.

Rules:
2G - 6CD changer in dash, no little joystick on MMI wheel
3G - Little joystick on wheel and SD slots in dash (says Audi Multimedia)
3G HDD - Has jukebox function to upload & store music in the car.

From 2009 on 3G Low / Basic -no little joystick on MMI wheel and has SD slots in dash (says Audi Multimedia)

I got confused because the table in the link says 3G basic doesn't have sd slots.
My 2G has a changer in the dash.

So there you have it audi-partner, you have 3G high, or possibly low.

yeah think when they did that wiki they got themselves confused
3G low has 2 SD slots cd/ (dvd maps) 6.5" screen 2D maps not 100% if this comes with sim card & reverse camera option to
3G High is HDD with joystick
i think the 3G + is only for the newer stuff on the (A6 & A8 touch-screen)

S lines don't come with 3G MMI and nav as standard anyways.

Oh I am!! Seriously love this car, my mates hate it...coz it's an Audi...I'd say jealous myself but heeeyyyy! Lol

This is my second Audi, love the b8 much more than the A3. Can't see past Audi myself and will continue to buy the brand
And what does your mate drive?

Yup I have a concert on my s line too.

So how is it referred to when talking about vcds mods?

Basic

Referred as concert for mods.
Most mods work for all of them.
The concert doesn't have an hidden menu.

Well...he...atm drives a Skoda Octavia estate...but that's on eBay, he has himself a Volvo V70 on an 02 lol

This is also my 2nd Audi, I had an 80 many moons ago..(6yrs) lol but I'm very much in love with most things VAG, ever since my car had his 1st Scirocco, a white GTI if I remember, I've loved VW, and like I say, most things VAG

Sorry for the thread resurrection, I'm just trying to work out what my MMI system is, from what's been said so far, I think it's 3G as it has the jukebox.
I want to update the SatNav and not sure how to do it

What if there was a way to completely bypass symphonys, concerts, MMI2/3G Highs & Lows, etc and (almost) instantly upgrade your B8 to a B9:

I've been following Daniel's progress for some time and what he has achieved almost single handedly is nothing short of exceptional... Have a look...
