Revo stage 1 released

And will it throw a td1 code or is it invisible

Think its actually only for the golf R. It will remove the limiter without a doubt, I do hope there is a way around this td1 thing but if not ill still go for it.

I can't see many running the risk of voiding the warranty on a car they may have paid 30/40k + until hey make it undetectable tuning boxes will rule the roost

Didnt revo already post something that there software is not undetectable?

300 is more than enough for my supermarket journeys with the fam

Bit of a pain in the A55 though having to go down to local revo dealer paying them £50+ to flash it back to stock prior to visiting Audi dealer only to then go back and pay £50+ to get the remap back, especially as you need to co-ordinate the Revo dealer at a time when you and they can do it.. some don't have time on Saturday mornings etc... tuning boxes might be the way to go for me this time.

Revo do not set any charges and many Revo dealer do not charge for flashing the car to stock if you are a regular customers. however it is at the dealers discretion and their time that is been taken to data-log the car and set it back up. but this shouldn't be something that is required on a regular basis, if at all given the reliability of a modern VAG vehicle - which is why most of us own them!

As for self-flashing, it's not just about flashing a car. it's the Data-Logging and adjusting a fully adjustable software file to suit the individual vehcile that takes both time and skill.

I spoke to 3 local Revo agents to the South Coast and all of them wanted money to remove the remap, or to flash the latest one. I never had any "setup/data logging" on my last car as it was carried out at GTI International so I assume this is not necessary otherwise why wasn't this carried out?

As we all know we would need to go in and get the remap taken off for service, re-call and any warranty work and with my experience of Audi and mileage (18k) a year then I know I will visit a dealer at least 3 times a year ... more if they cant see a fault on first visit. A self flasher would be good if it returns you to the "stock" map and the flash counter to the same as before the remap.

The other question is that if you were to "revo" you car say 6 months after it's built and revo capture the flash counter at say "1" with the factory map ver 1.1 (not real names, you get the gist) and then you go to Audi with remap removed and back to original factory level to avoid TD1. They install Audi map ver 2.0.

When you go to the Revo dealer would the use your old map/settings for your car you had as you say it is "adjusted to suit the individual car", or just capture the flash new counter level and new map version as your baseline for when you remove it again?

I am now a little more interested in a S3 Saloon, although I had loads of trouble with my original S3 revo map on a 2010 they sorted it in the end, I had warranty work done also by Audi, knowing it was mapped, although they could not tell it was mapped only be driving it. My Revo dealer also would switch it off and on if I asked FOC, although I have a switch. I think Revo have gone a long way to improve their maps and how they work.

Next Question anyone have it yet?
