A friend of mine has an 1999 Audi A6 2.5tdi AFB and he has a few errors in the engine module:
18259 Powertrain data bus: missing message from ABS controller
- the abs light is off, so it's not bothering him
01375 valves for engine mounting: stage 1
38-10 Output won't switch or short to plus - intermittent
-this is obvious what's the cause, but I'm not sure if it's the left or the right engine mount.
00550 start of injection regulation
control difference - intermittent
- he has the same problem I had: won't rev higher than 2000 rpm when cold, and as the engine gets warmer, it revs progressively up to 4000 rpm. I know it's the injection pump faulty
But the real problem is this fault code
00546 data wiring faulty
49-10 - no communications - intermittent
Ross tech says that possible symptoms are engine not starting or shutting down. When the engine is hot, he actually has the "not starting" symptom, but it's random and more often it does not start.
Where should I start searching to fix this last fault code? Would a immo off fix this problem?
Thanks in advance for your help.
