Steering wheel question - sorry

Hi,

I know we love these sort of questions but could really do with an answer please.

Will a steering wheel with the number 8K0419091CN fit my A3 s-line 2007? Do not currently have mfsw on my existing "round" wheel so would be nice if the buttons worked on the replacement but not a major issue if they didn't.

Initially then will it fit (possibly with some adapting) so I can then go find an airbag.

Just love the wheel.

Straight fit but you may need a different controller, if yours doesn't support the FBMFSW. I have one to fit soon :p
 
Try fleabay for a second hand steering wheel, most come with an air-bag and will be cheaper than buying brand new from Audi or similar, unless you want a brand new! You may also find the controller as well, if your's does not support FBMFSW.

My high-line controller part number is 8P0953549F and that supports MFSW's.

I have the wheel just checking it will fit before I search for airbag and whatever else I need such as high-line controller.

Don't forget you'll need vcds to activate the controls on the wheel
 
These type of modules are like rocking horse poo to find as the MFSW retro-fit is probably one of the most commonafter market fits around. If you do happen to find one then your lucky. PM NHN on here as hes the man in the know-how of acquiring said modules, site sponsor and all-round good egg.

Hello again,

Does it matter that the steering with that code is possibly a 2013 wheel. Investigating the item number and I keep getting that it is an 8V unit. Is that a problem even with the extra mfsw module that I need?

Strange as that's the part number of my controller currently in my car. My steering wheel is from a 2010 a3.
 
No I meant the steering wheel code 8K0419091CN.
 
Sorry, it's been a long day!

I don't 'think' your steering wheel (8K0419091CN) will work with that controller (8P0953549F).

I think the steering wheel is too 'new' to work with that controller, it may work but not function correctly as that steering wheel has more buttons on it than the wheel on pre 2013 A3's. I have never seen anyone with that type of wheel in an 8P.

Your best bet is too search the forums for similar threads and/or contact Audi but don't expect too much help from them! I'm sure some one else will tune in and advise, some real knowledgeable people on this forum.
 
Ok thanks. I figured that some of the buttons may not work but such a nice shape that even if volume and horn work that will do for me.
 
I will admit, it is a lovely wheel. I'm looking to change mine soon and may just get one myself, pending the outcome of this thread off course lol
 
I called Audi today to try to get airbag product number for the steering wheel 8K0419091CN and was told I need 8PZ880201AL airbag and AP0971598AC harness.

When I google these numbers nothing comes up on the web so does anyone know if these are the actual codes.
