Hi

Looking at one of these due to the lack of streaming. Are they any good and do they work whilst the phone is hooked up to this and the blue tooth.

Cheers

Depends on the phone.

Surely if you're buying the Tune2Air you have AMI fitted? Why not just plug the phone in using the cable then connect the BT to the car as norma

I read somewhere that the Tune2Air only supports Apple? No?

Assuming the firmware of the Tune2Air is reasonably up to date (which assuming its purchased recently it should be) Tune2Air will also support Android devices.

I have tested this with my unit which I updated myself. I had to update my unit as I purchased it about 18 months ago.

Most phones will support dual bluetooth profiles. One profile for telephone/voice calls and another profile for music streaming. You will need to pair the phone to both devices. My iPhone 5 works fine with both.

The Tune2Air units are great value for money and I would highly recommend them.

Thanks chum! :)

Further information from ViseeO WMA1000 product page:

Now also works with Android phones, Windows Phone 8 devices, 3rd party music apps such as Sportify and Pandora, iPod docking stations (tune2air software version V3.17 and above).

One downside however is that when using a non-Apple device there is no playlist functionality displayed on MMI screen for you to scan through Albums/Artists etc.

Cheers mate just the info I needed!

The only downside with them is if you want to listen to music and you have two phones that are synced to it, you have to turn off the bluetooth in the phone that you don't want to listen to. You also have to turn off when using hands free otherwise it plays the music in the background of the call

Mmmm this doesn't sound good......

Hi, been looking at the tune2air and this discussion has been very helpful. Was just wondering if turning the music off and then answering the phone is simple/easy? i.e. all from the steering wheel or centre console?

This looks like the best solution to not being able to stream....still a bit surprised Audi doesn't include it!

Thanks

P.s. Hope 4 months isn't too old to relight an old discussion?!

Very simple. No need to turn the music off as music is automatically interrupted by the car to enable the call. Steering wheel/centre console operates as normal and allows you to answer the phone either by pressing the MMI wheel (if present) or pressing the steering wheel roller button.

I have used my Tune2Air with an iPhone and Android device.

Sounds great, thanks for that. Looks like i'l be ordering one tomorrow then. For another £50 it's a bit of a must have really!

Thanks again

You can still answer calls with it but annoyingly it still plays the music in the background!!

I see, that's what I meant, once the phone is ringing I'm hoping it's easy enough to pause the music and then answer the phone with out having to mess around with a load of buttons. Annoying but I guess there isn't much that can be done about that. Surely it wouldn't of been that hard for audi to include music streaming in the first place!

I've had that happen a few times but only once each time the phone has paired to the device. Also I'm not sure if it's a problem with iOS or the Viseoo as I don't appear to have had it happen since owning an iPhone 6.

That's good to hear, my new iPhone 6 is in the post!

Mines doesnt do that buddy , mutes fine when calling with hands free

Mines on it's way in the post....lets hope it's a good one which behaves properly also!! haha

My missus' tune2air does the same as mine as well. I have to physically pause the music to hear the call. Even then it sometimes randomly start playing music again. It does turn the music down but you can still here it.
