Why Does The Corsa Vxr Have Better Acceleration?

Ive done it myself with MPPS lead and a more-bhp map. Ive got induction but no exhaust yet. They reckon about 240-250bhp but not had it on rollers yet. But it has deffo transformed the car.

Will get more once exhaust is in place. But I'm planning on ko4 conversion at some point next year or two (got to get house buying out the way first!)

yeah exactly, I always see him driving around with his 1.2 mates in their fezzas haha I think it looks way too chavy. I know he went for a drag day and got beat by a 370bhp or somethjng like thag vxr, no point having it all of you can't use it, the amount he's spunked on it yoj could have such a nicer faster car lol

It's just a super chav car and how proud must he feel ploughing £10s of thousands of pounds into a Corsa? LOL! Sorry, each to their own but what a moron IMO!

But,I can't help liking the idea of a 400+bhp Corsa.

It just appeals to the nutty side......

This is such an interesting thread ... we have lots of talk about souped up Corsas crushing S3s and why you'd ever want a Corsa etc and then in the same breath we have souped up S3s crushing RS8s and the like ... different cars yet fundamentally the same behaviours ...

Oh and just so you know I drive a 'girlie' cabrio so not looking to crush anyone ...

I used to own a stage 3 corsa Vxr custom mapped @ 230bhp (Courtney sport) and that thing flew !!! Would beat a standard s3 all day. It used to keep up with my mates montune focus St 280bhp! Surprising little cars tbh :)

Are they not 197 standard ? Would of thought going up 3 stages would get you more than 33 bhp
I had an astra burg and that was 260bhp a mapped corsa was pushing 230 I'm sure
 
They are yes. Tbh so did I but I had a 2.75" milltek and apparently it was restricting flow. They only make about 240 when at stage 3. They are only a 1.6turbo don't forget and it's not all about the bhp... The power delivery was very good and kept up with some 300bhp cars !
 
It was defiantly a fun car and very underestimated ! But tbh it's still a vx and would never buy another ! Wasn't a bad car to have at 18 tho, I worked hard for that little beast :)
