Hi everyone as you know I had catastrophic engine failure last year with my tdi 170 when the cambelt came off after a mechanics mistake ! I've had a new head cams valves you name it done . My mate has the same car and he's is rattling and has been told it's the oil pump balancer. I know the newer 2.0tdi engines are better so was wondering if it can be fitted in a b7 car? He can get a b8 engine with low miles for around the 1200-1500 mark . I'm gonna ask before he goes and buys an engine he can't use lol so any help would be much appreciated
