Opinions on black rings?

I meant to put this in my previous post but thought it might be better on it's own...

The previous owner has had the rings on my Black Edition done black/fitted black ones- thing is I don't know if I like them or not- her indoors thinks they make me look like I'll be a wally but I think I quite like them...should I be embarrassed about this?

Love em! But then I would, I've done mine :ninja: What colour is the car? Are the rings on the boot black too?
 
The car's black and yeah the rings on the back are black too... I've been looking the car over to see if he's done anything else to it- I only have S-Line badges on the sides, is that right? I know my questions are random I'm just like a kid with a new toy and I've struggled to find much stuff on a 2011 Black Edition...
 
Not 100% sure on a Sportback as mine's a 3 door, but yes I think there are only two S-line badges, one on each front wing. I've changed to black S-line badges too. Is it debadged on the boot? :)
 
Personally i think the rings look better in their original colour. :kissmyrings:
I've seen a few audi's around with the front rings in black with a black grill and its not appealing to me im afraid :puke2:

Yeah it's just got the rings on the back, also a single exhaust- I would have expected twin?

I'll tell you what it has that I can think of ha- 2.0 tdi (170), 18" rotor alloys, xenon lights, auto dimming rear view mirror, single cd player (concert), bose speakers, full vienna leather, rear audio parking sensors... erm... can't think what else... It doesn't have any kind of iPod connection whatsoever well except AUX...

is this all standard to the Black Edition? I know the outline of the grill is part of it but I'm in 2 minds about the rings...The black S-line badges look good like
 
Yes, I think 2009 was the last year of twin exhaust trims on the 2.0 TDI. I think it's only the trim though to be fair (comes from a single pipe). Somebody probably know that better than me.

I bought mine from new, so can tell you with fair certainty that the auto dimming rear view mirror is an extra option, also the full leather seats and parking sensors (unless the sportback is different spec by default).

Mine is completely standard spec, except for the lighting pack (puddle/footwell lights) which I did get added at factory.

Are the rings on yours gloss black or kind of matt looking?
 
Hmm hard to say, looks glossy from that. Had it been a matt, slightly rubberised looking finish, it might have been a Plasti-dip job, giving you a fair chance of peeling it off and reverting back to chrome.
