Intercooler Help

Hi Guys,

I seem to have blown my intercooler, oil on the drivers side around the plastic coupling, im guessing too much pressure, my question is other an fmic has anyone fitted one of these to there TDI Evolution Racewerks dual SMIC upgrade kit id like to try and keep it as much stock looking so don't really want to go down the route of fmic.

any advice welcome

If you want to keep it stock I'll be selling mine as of Tuesday as I'm getting a fmic installed I'll add some pictures once it's done

How much are you wanting for drivers side? Altho I'm thinking it will only blow again at plastic side as I'm pushing 200bhp +already so not really intended just don't want the added extra of piping etc for a fmic

What engine have you got as iv only got one passenger side if it fits yours I'll have a look how much these go for because I haven't a clue I see darkside developments do a uprated side mount not sure if it's direct replacement for stockor not

^^ could be a good solution, best dropping them an email. Always wondered how much bigger the Darkside one actually is (tempted to get one on mine).

yep thats my first port of call this morning - i think the stock will only blow again so may as well go uprated. will let you know car is a 2.0 tid 170
