Tough question & got me worried given that my Daytona grey is less than 2 weeks away!!
No for me. Chrome breaks it all up nicely IMHO 
But at the end of the day it's your car and all that really matters is what you want/like buddy

Sorry mate! Its something I've been thinking about for a while now. I wouldn't worry, both will look good! Just not sure which is best! Are you going for the black roof bars too?

Mine are being done by the dealer as my car was in stock (only ordered it a week ago) so I asked for them to be changed.

I'm black edition at mo, but with a Daytona 8V on order, it had to be chrome. I feel it makes it look more classy. More Audi.
Grey's, black's and white's should all have black pack.
Silver for any other colour.

Ok, just passed a red S3 sportback with the black styling & it looked quite classy, especially with the panoramic roof.......
Tough decision and the pics of the grey with black above have now potentially swayed my choices, however the only way for me to do this now would be sorting it myself & I guess cost would be quite high.

All about what you like, a nice look would be to stick with chrome, if you want that dark stealth look go for it.
I just couldn't justify the black pack over mono.pur and hill hold, not interested in showing the car off.

That's what I'd do! I think the black pack against daytona accentuates the noise making it far more prominent than he you were to spec chrome which is effectively silver a different lighter shade of grey which doesn't imo break it up or compliment well at all. Your choice though mate but personally I wouldn't think twice about which to go for! Black pack all the way! You won't be disappointed!
I was undecided over whether to get the Black Styling Pack or not, but then I had the luck to see one parked outside my house in Daytona Grey, but with the chrome. For me, it didn't look right. Also helped me make mind up about the wheels as well!
Defo YES. Don't like the cheap looking chrome around the windows and on the grille at all. Reminds me of an early 80's Vauxhall...

Ok I'm coming to the conclusion that I prefer the black pack than the chrome window trim and grille, especially as I'm having privacy glass in the back. Just think the black will match that better.
I've also decided to not include the roof bars at all. If I could get them in Daytona grey I'd get them but I don't think the black or chrome roof bars look particularly great on Daytona grey. I only wanted roof bars for look to be honest.

I was going for Daytona with all of the silver bits. Roof rails are a must for me, not just for the look, but I am coming from a 4wd to the S3! I need the extra capacity that roof racks could bring.
I actually like the look of both. Black looks stealthy and silver looks classy. At this stage I'm going for classy.

Don't make that mistake please! Go the whole hog and make the car complete with black rails to compliment the grill, tints window surrounds and tyres! It'll look fantastic trust me! My previous 8p S3 in blue mica had black rails and grill and I'm so glad I ticked the rails option.
The rails imo and many others is the icing on the cake! Do it! We'd hate for you to regret as I don't think they can be retrofitted without some interior headline cutting and would probably cost fair bit! Do it!!!!
We have a 3 door A1 in Daytona with chrome detailing and silver contrast line which works really well, hence I've ordered my A3 in Daytona and chrome rather than black. Stopped short of silver roof bars as I'd never use them.

Black pack is an extra cost that I would rather spend on the assistance pack. I don't think that the silver roof rails look that bad....
Top pic is far superior! Rails and hyper silver alloys that stand out and go with the headlights otherwise it starts to look a little dreary imo.
So black pack, rails and hyper silver sline alloys makes its look the mutts!
Your choice though of course.
Some things should be a no cost option like wheel choice, black styling pack. Can't see wheels costing that much more to make and you're "saving money" on not having the metal bits if you choose the black styling pack.
true. The sad part is, I've ordered a Ambition Pro Line-S (Dutch version) which has black window surrounds and the price of a black frontgrill is the same as for the whole package.
