has anybody fitted the headlight tint that's like honeycomb? was it easy? did you have any problems? thanks in advance

Not something I'd ever contemplate. Headlights are for providing light, and nothing, however flimsy, should get in the way.

Point taken but I keep seeing loads of cars with it on and the one I've looked at on ebay doesn't affect light and is mot compliant

Hey, I'm pretty risk averse, so if you're confident there's no issues with light output, don't let me put you off. It's just that if you're running OEM halogens, there's not a lot of light to spare!

Yeah I've noticed the low light output, I was gonna but brighter bulbs in (do you have any recommendations?) instead ov HID

Send a message (conversation) to forum member t8ups, tell him what you're after, and he should be able to advise on the right bulbs for you, and then supply them for a good price.

The other thing I'd do (I said I was risk averse!) is check with your own MOT garage that there's no issue with the tint film. Just because the seller says it's MOT-compliant doesn't mean it's true.

I did mine and the fogs with Lamin X, dead easy to do with some heat and a bit of patience.

I got it from Ebay, I just got "Tint" it's the lightest tint, a 24" x 12" sheet will do two headlights but only just. I made up a paper template of the headlight to help me divide the lamin x into two bits big enough to cover the light. You want to leave it about 10mm larger so once you've got it on the light you can trim it back with a blade. You'll need a hair drier or heat gun to put some heat into it before you apply it and to keep it warm while you work it. It's fairly thick stuff so you can peel back off to tease bubbles out and reapply with out too much issues, I used a tile grout stiff squeegy thing which worked well. Don't worry about the adhesive looking a bit different if you have peeled and reapplied, once it's been heated up from normal use that'll disappear.

Also, the drop in light output must be negligible, honestly can't say I've noticed any difference on my halogens. I also live in the country and not city;)

did mine with flyeyes the honeycomb stuff.. easy to use. but to be honest, there is a difference in light output!
and im using hids.

Or.....strip the lights down, spray the inside of them, install custom Bi-Xenon Projectors... job done and no interruption to light output
