Will the above work? I maybe able to get hold of a Quattro sport front bumper and all the trim but will if fit and work with the S1's cooling config and would it be a straight swap?

I would imagine that all the A1s S1s so on are built on the same chassis so i would think yes but i dont think many people will have done it if any so you may he the first

I only got back from work monday evening! 2 1/2 weeks away :/

And im off again this sunday for 3 weeks

They are, the S1 has MY15 lights (A1's are still being produced to MY14 spec), they are different from MY11-14 A1's (including Quattro) - so on that basis, I don't think this retrofit will be possible without some serious bodywork/fibreglass work.

Sorry bud! I saw a proper 1 of 333 quattro at ADI, looked mint but honestly the bumper wasn't that different/better to the S1.
 
Given you're friends with a parts guy, it's pretty easy to get hold of the quattro parts. However they do come at a dear price. The spoiler alone is around the 1k mark
