When i got the car it had an esp problem but other than that over all the car was great, drives great and runs great!
I left it a while as I could drive threw the wabble which i presume was due to the tyres needing balancing but when I finally got round to it I found the wheel was buckled on the nearside front!
Does anyone know if the bang could of coursed the esp problem?
And if I'm OK to wait a few months before fixing or changing alloys or will this buckle damage my car?
Thanks for any replies!

Well I hope not buy you probably know more than I do about the potholes and speed bumps in the UK and that's what worries me!

Yeah hit them right and it takes less off a blow ;) and pot holes well myself u drive on the white line away from any pot holes but some idiot before me must of been a 60mph curb crawler!

If the vibration is significant apart from the fact it's not nice to drive it wont be doing the wheel bearing or shock absorber any good. The tyre will be wearing funny assuming it's not damaged itself.
I don't understand why you left the car so long before investigating the cause of the wobble. It could have been a suspension joint failing or something daft like loose wheel nuts.
Unless it was really bad I cannot see why it would cause an ESP light.Best to connect VAG-COM and see what fault code is shown.

Karl.

Some wheel buckles can be deemed dangerous as there is a risk that the tyre can dismount the rim. All depends on how bad it is. Personally I can't drive a car with unbalanced wheels so I'd be getting it repaired or replaced sharpish.

I only commute 6 mile a day apart from weekends, so it isn't too bad below 70! That's why I held it off for so long eg just short of two months! I just thought it needed balancing and work nights so hard to get time sometimes!
Had all four tyres changed before I bought it so thought it might not of been balanced properly or something! Tyres I've got isn't damaged and could can it on ramp at one point so I checked all wheel nuts and they were fine! Will change it but could be Xmas unless I can find a decent wheel repair local who can take buckle out!
Thanks for reply appreciated!

I've decided to pop the buckled alloy from the front nearside and swap over to the rear nearside just while I get chance to properly fix this issue and that it should take most off the pain away from the front where most of the money lies, eg steering ect plus side should also take a fair bit of the turbulence out when I decide to have a little fun because as we all know its hard to keep the foot light off the throttle!
Does anyone know anywhere around Manchester that can fix buckles?
