It’s nearly here!

Just got an email from Audi. The car is in their PDI centre on Friday. The chap doing the detail for me will pick it up on Monday. Then I pick the car up from Tyneside Audi at 10:30 on Wednesday

As a reminder I have ordered:-



S5 quattro 3.0 TFSI

Mythos Black

Options are:-

Black edition
Audi quattro Sports differential
Audi drive select
Damper control
Dynamic steering
Convenience package
Mobile telephone preparation High with Audi connect
Technology package High.



I ordered on 09 June and take delivery on 23 September. The longest 106 days ever!

It may have been a long 106 days but I bet the next 3-4 days will be the longest. ;)

I'm pretty certain you'll love it.
 
Almost.. I'm going in to see it at the detailers on Monday morning. Not sure if its a good idea or not
 
Just few days to go Marky, they the hardest ones to get through. We all look forward to lots of pics. Enjoy tje collection :) x
 
You were right Sandra, the last few days have definitely been the hardest! However, the sun is shining and I'm off to the dealer in under an hour to collect it. The bad news is that I have to go to work this afternoon, so I will only have a couple of hours 'play time' I'll do my best to make sure I get a couple of photo's up though.

Handover was silky smooth. well done to Tyneside Audi.

Very nice my friend. I remember the smell of the leather the first time I opened the door, your pics brought it back again... special memory!

Well done for brightening up an otherwise desperately gloomy interior with an interesting colour combo.
 
Apologies for the lack of pictures, but it has been a very busy weekend at Markyy towers!

I gave the car a quick rinse on Saturday morning and the Mythos black looks quite nice I think.



1 thing that I have noticed; when I was speccing the car I couldn’t decide to get the storage pack or not. Didn’t like the look of the nets on the seats but quite liked the idea of seat storage and the cup holders in the armrest. In the end I chose not to go with it, but my seats are definitely “storage pack” seats i.e. they have the cupholders in the armrests, the underseat storage on the passenger side and the nets on the back. The only things I don’t have are the lockable glovebox and the net & 12V socket in the boot. They must have stopped making the “non storage” seats.

That's an immaculate 13 year old Noggy Blue RS4 in front - Got the same Crystal Serum detail as me and looked just as new as me!!

Oh, in case you hadn't worked it out, the mystery thumbnail in the 1st batch of piccies is a close up of the bonnet - nice reflection levels

Hey markee, hope you don't mind me bringing up an old, old thread!
Beautiful car, and not far off the spec I have ordered - in the same colour as well !

I've just ordered my S5 from MK Audi, however it's a 2 hour drive away and I want to make sure I get a good detail done.
How did you arrange the whole detailing / collection. It looks like you had the detail done before you collected, did the detailer return it to the Audi dealership after?
I've been looking for detailers local to me, so would have brought the car back home and driven straight to them... not sure if that's a good plan or not?
 
I ordered the detail 1st to make sure he had a suitable time slot available. After that I spoke to the salesman to make sure there was no PDI carried out on the paintwork. The salesman then liaised with the detailer and delivered the car to the Audi showroom.
Luckily enough for me the detailer and the showroom are only about half a mile apart. Not sure it would have been so easy otherwise..
