Prawn and BigAls A3 Track Car

Give the bases to Robin and have him make something which can be screwed to.

Or a bit of CAD.

These little jobbies are just 130g each, and I reckon would be fairly easy to mount to the frame, with just a tiny alloy plate to cover the area and neaten it up.

i had them mirrors (or very similar ones) on an mr2 turbo, totally ****, no use what so ever... and in time they may become loose and drop by them selves... just my 2p worth!-)

Those ones are £33 delivered.

At that price I think I'd be prepared to take the risk. Worst case I could glue them solid in my chosen location.

It's all just ideas at the moment :)

I know we're potentially only looking at 2kg saving or so on this particular item, but that level of detail, looked at 10 times, is potentially 20kg saved, which is a big chunk towards the 60kg goal.

Have you thought of Slimming World, 20 kg easily in one month, chicken salad night before and continental breakfast on the day. For both of us. Has to be a cheaper option.

he is still your dad mate!
you dont want him grounding you through donny and ADI!!

May do a session at adi sans-pax to see if it really makes that much difference.

Adi will be the first time on the ex btcc Dunlop slicks too :) the ones we've previously used have been yokos

Got to do SOMETHING to allow me to save face against the badger wagon*, even if it means cheating

Edit: * by 'save face' I mean 'get lapped less quickly'

I think perhaps you ought to take your own advice

Easiest weight loss option is to leave 90kg of hypocritical ballast in the pits

ooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that's below the belt:(

Let's pray for rain then and I'll bring the wets  not had a chance to use them yet!

In all seriousness, if anyone is going from Southampton area and fancies a passenger ride in exchange for bringing some spare wheels along for me, give me a shout!

if you guys are on slicks and it rains were be lapping you!!!!

Not done much to the car recently, as it doesn't really seem to need it :)

spent a bit of time tidying up little ends and things yesterday and trimming off long zip ties etc etc, then went out for a drive.

I got to the end of my road, and changed into 2nd :racer: and it didn't feel quite as precise as it usually does.

hmmmmmmmmmmm. I carried on, into 3rd and it felt fine. into 4th and again, it just didn't feel right at all. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I slowly plodded to the shell station for some V-power, and popped the bonnet when I arrived to look for anything obviously wrong on the linkage:

D'oh! :sign omg:

I wondered where I'd left them

Removed the scissors and all felt perfect again :racer: PHEW!

Went for a drive. Car felt good. So good infact that I had to check my boost gauge to make sure i hadn't popped an N75 hose off!

Found 3rd gear on a nice open stretch, 22psi, AFR's rock solid at low 11's, EGT's in the low 800s, and it was absolutely FLYING!

That's what Sunday evenings are all about :) And beer of course :beerchug:

though not for very long :icon thumright:

Not in the last Month Jay no, didn't bother risking life and limb (and car) for an over priced over crowded session at the recent Action day :whistle2:

I think Combe is probably the track I've visited most. it's about the closest track to home for me.

I like it there, good track :)
