Great start to my weekend. Floored it in first and Boom! went my exhaust.....Boomy as f@ck expecially under the driver side....always wanted an RS6 sound! hahaha....No smoke, water, oil or bits of metal behind me and nothing hanging off!...Reckon it maybe the flexi pipe or something more expensive....Can't get under the car to check it out until Monday!....Happy Days....think I jinxed myself after boasting how reliable the Old Gal had been!...Maybe the time for some more modding and get that Milltek after all.....Promised myself I wasn't going to do any modding as well!

Cheers

Ah, but when it's an essential repair combined with a bit of enhancement, that doesn't count as a mod.

Al, as jeff said planned maintenance for the winter covers that. How you all doing? Weather ok? :) x

All of my major mods have been on the back of something that had to be done.

Panic over it was just that the exhaust clamp had corroded and the main pipe had come loose. 10 minutes and 6 quid later job done! Kind of pleased I didn't need to go mental and splurge cash on a new one.....save my lolly for some nice fresh winter tyres instead!
Cheers

Good news :) I think my clamps are rotten too after briefly being under mine.

Yep, it was completely shot.....never blown an exhaust before and when I heard it.....I thought Jaysus, this is going to be expensive!....Very fortunate...spent most of Sunday explaining to my neighbours that it wasn't a sports exhaust....it was vibrating their coffee cups as I drove past....
