Hi please could I have some help I have a Audi A4 1.8t sline Quattro b7 I'm not sure when the oil and filter needs changing for the diffs many thanks

Hi there, I would think you have the torsen t-2 system like all the other B7 quattros.

Which means there is no filters you might be referring to the haldex system which is completely diff.

In our case there is no filter its just a simple drain and refill.. The rear diff box takes 75w90 synthetic fluid and roughly 1.5 to 1.7 litres.

If you want to go by the book.

The rear diff oil from Audi/TPS:
Part number - G052 145 S2 , comes in 1 litre bottles. looking at around 20 quid a bottle. Recommend change is anything between 60 to 80k miles. Depends on the driving style.

The filler and drain plug torque are 35nm to 45 nm depending on which rear diff you have.

If you have a flat bottom diff its 35nm
If it has like vents at the bottom of the diff or fins maybe a better word the torque is 45nm

Hope this helps.

Thank you for that the reason why I'm looking at getting it done is because when ever I pull away it feels like I'm going over cats eyes not to sure what it is

Is it when you pulling away from standstill and have abit of lock on the steering?

Or should I say does it feel like something is thumping the car from underneath.

Just from stand still it does it wen I go straight also it seems to do it when warm

I have owned the car since April and it's done it since then my brother was in the back and he said it seems to be louder in the back
