I don't know how this happened, but I think someone may have scraped my car in a car park.

Below are some photos - I'd appreciate any advice from fellow 8V owners. I have no idea what's required to fix this - does it need repainting, or can it be polished out?

I gave the car a wash using my regular routine and also sprayed some quick detailer (Werkstat Glos) when drying. However, it didn't make much of a difference to the scratches.

Before wash:

After wash:

And a photo of Werkstat Acrylic water beading on the roof from the rain last night, just for fun!

That's probably a respray, unfortunately. I just had to have my passenger door done for something that looked much the same, but with an added dent. £224 later it's immaculate, every bit as good as it was out of the factory.

Thanks for the info. Do I take it to my local Audi dealership or do other places do just as good a job for less?

Other places do it just as good, you'd be surprised what these professionals can do, someone who drove my car clipped my wall and done some real damage, professional worked their magic on it and looked like nothing ever happened, the scrapes were deep and had to be filled.

I took mine to a place I've used before called Little Knocks, in South Ruislip. http://www.littleknocks.co.uk/

I didn't get a quote elsewhere so I don't know how it would compare, but they had to pull out a dent, prime and repaint the passenger door. I would imagine Audi would be way more expensive. I dropped it off and 0830 and picked it up at 1730.

Does getting work done from a third party void warranty?
