Hi all I'm new to the forum having a bit of trouble with my 2.0tdi a3 8p 54 reg, I've recently had it remapped with the 50/50 so it takes it to 180bhp. As I drove from the place that remapped it the turbo blew I've had that replace along with new gaskets hoses etc it now seems a lot quicker when it boosts but is a lot later at around 2400rpm where as it used to be about 1800-2000. Any idea on what it could be? Doesn't feel as if I'm getting the most out of my turbo as I don't tend to take the revs much more than 3000 thanks in advance

Was a garage locally who I use, as far as I know they have yes, it is pulling really well when it kicks in and feels more powerful just comes in late so I'm not really utilising the remap

If the turbo is a reconditioned unit the actuator may not be set up correctly on the turbo. Either that or you have a vacuum leak in the N75 system.
If you had somebody with VAG-COM they could log the specified and actual boost to see whats happening. Also check the amount of vacuum on the actuator at idle.

Spoke to the mechanic he said the turbo he got was factory set? He's putting a new turbo hose on it today as he said the clamps that hold it in place are worn
