Spark Plugs?

Just had revo stage one fitted yeehaaa, was told to change spark plugs but unsure as to what one to fit. I'm guessing the stock ones are out the window with the extra ponys anyone any recommendations?

Most people on here just use the cheapo NGKs (BKR7E), they're cheap as chips and perform just as well as the expensive ones... Only difference being you'll want to think about changing them every 10k or so

Yeh I wont be stopping at stage 1, I'm building a bike eater lol
 
Yeah NGK Copper or Iridiums... you should change the gap from .8 to .7 if you're running extra power, less strain on your coil packs too.

I've got a set here which have only covered 4,000 miles (gapped at .7mm). Only replaced them as I've just bought new coils and thought I might aswell change the plugs at the same time.

You can have them if you're interested. Just PM me your address and I'll post them over.

Just installed Bosch FR5DC eurocar parts £2 a plug lol, best thing I could get in a short time frame. Couldn't get any Ngk bkr7e
Seems to be running fine on Bosch ones cars back on dyno in a few day so we will see of there's any power loss etc. I will report back.
 
I think I've read here that Denso ik22's are also very good. Maybe a little expensive than ngk...
 
The Bosch i posted work in my car perfect, so defo not rubish for me- but understanding 'Biggeeman' & others have different engine config's/ power- i pulled the following info from a VAG site (which include plugs mentioned above by others)

Spark Plug Info-

NOTE: The spark plugs MUST be correctly gapped

HOT - NGK #6 (OEM Range for 1.8/2.7 Engines) - Stock car with stock boost/timing, or mildly-tuned car in cold climates.
- NGK BKR6E (Copper)
- NGK BKR6EIX (Iridium Version of the same plug above)
- Denso K20R (Copper)
- Denso IK20 (Iridium Version of the same plug above)
- NGK PFR6Q (OEM Platinum) - If you're planning to stick with stock boost

COLD - NGK #7 (One Step Colder) - Cars with basic "chip/intake/exhaust" bolt-on upgrades (K03, K04, etc): Drop one range.
- NGK BKR7E (Copper)
- NGK BKR7EIX (Iridium Version of the same plug above)
- Denso K22R (Copper)
- Denso IK22 (Iridium Version of the same plug above)


COLDER - NGK #8 (Two Steps Colder) - Cars with bigger turbos will benefit from these, whereas a regularly chipped car may foul these.
- Champion C63YC (Copper)
- NGK R5672A-8 (Copper, Non-Resistor plug)
- NGK BKR8EIX (Iridium)
- Denso IK24 (Iridium)
- Bosch F5DPOR (Platinum/Side Fire)
 
I wouldn't trust denso plugs... Have seen a few ceramic failures on those resulting in rather expensive engine damage.

8's can be a rubbish on cold start... Normally run 7's on big turbo stuff...
