I've recently bought an A4 s-line tdi avant and its ace but if I was being critical I would say the rear wheels don't seem to fill the arches, would it be wise to put spacers on and if so hiw wide would ya go
thanks in advance

10mm hubcentric maybe if you like. Would personally prefer to just have wider wheels but obviously that's not an option if you don't plan on swapping them.

I love the wheels but it looks like there is no offset on em so spacers are probably an option

nice avant , to be honest i think the mudflaps dont help as they make the wheel arches look bigger thus your wheels will look further in, also different profile tyres also change the look .
i have 235's on 8x18" rims and they fill the arches really well.

nice car anyway, i do like them in red.

my tyres are 235 on 19s, the mudflaps were already on the car and to be honest if they didn't have any on I would have put them on.

You'll most likely need to go for at least 12mm on the rear as the rear hub lip may be too big for a 10mm spacer.

Best thing to do is to take the wheel off and measure up before ordering any.

You can fit 10mm spacers to the rear, I did it the other day with my winters. This is with S4 alloys which are 8j ET45.

Slapped my 10mm spacers on the rear this afternoon after doing some work on a friends beetle.
These are the same as the Mk4 where some 10mm spacers don't fit on the rear, and 12mm are recommended as the minimum size to fit.
As you can see here they won't sit flush to the brake disc

It's exactly the same reason as to why they don't fit on some Mk4's too, and takes all of 30seconds to get around.
All you have to do is pop the little dust cover off the hub with a flatheaded screwdriver.

Once they're off the spacer goes on fine.

Jimmy you have far more sense than me, personally always forget the gloves when I'm getting down and dirty :unhappy:
