Hey, so I've had my audi a4 for a while and noticed that the plastic trim on the outside of the right rear passenger door is falling off. Anyone know the fix? It seems the the metal brackets that clipped on have rusted away

I have the same issue. You'll need to remove the old trim by removing the one screw, near door hinge;

The trim should, so I'm told, slide out and you can fit your new trim and re-fit.

Naturally OEM parts fit better but are expense. I believe you can still get these at Audi but I was thinking if trying these as they're cheaper;

Otherwise hit the breakers yards!

That little Phillips screw will inevitably turn without unscrewing. If that happens then chisel it off. The trim slides off (towards the rear of the car). The exterior door clips are plastic which break, so pick up some new ones. The internal metal on door trim rusts, so if it's looking worse for wear replace it too. Good opportunity to clean the door paintwork, treat any rust spots and apply a coat of wax before refitting the new trim.
