I've had my ca QTS for just over 2 years now but this is the first time that i've changed the fuel filter (hopefully this will help cure my start issues) This is the fuel out of the filter

Not nice  It almost looks like it may be the original which is scary on 140k!

In other words make sure you remember to change your fuel filter next time you do a service :D

Full service was first thing i did along with timing belt (waterpump had already been done) my filter was similar at 120k i did the blow test and there was a significant difference between the two.

Is there a date stamp on it ??

Think it will be original looking at the red labelling.

Hmmm, think I might need to do mine. On 120k (ish) and not sure if it's ever been done. Cheers

Mine at both original, right awkward job to do so i've been putting it off :p

The filter isnt on the service schedule, so it wont ever have been changed.

Is the filter right at the back near the tank? Just read a guide for one, so guessing it's the only filter?

Yep we undid all of the brackets holding the tank on and lowered it enough to get to the filter. It would be a nightmare on the ground i'd imagine, on a ramp it's not so bad :)

Yeh I dont have a ramp.

Did the filter on my track car a month or two ago. It wasnt THAT bad, but its not a nice job.

I dropped the front four bolts out of the tank straps, and sort of prized it down a bit and wedged a piece of wood in between the tank and floor. That made things a bit more accessible. Then the screw rounded off and required some violence to remove, before it finally all came apart.

It went back together somewhat easier.
