Hi guys, I'm thinking about getting a new filter for the DTM. Any ideas what's best, what have u got that will not cause problems with the car? (2.0T)

Thanks, Karl.

The standard audi/mann air filter is perfect for stock DTMs, if you planning on chipping the vehicle a dry flat panel filter is a good upgrade. Something in the likes of BMC flat filter.

Will get a remap done some day, but wanting a lil bit more noise from the turbo sucking in the air! I have used pipercross viper induction and k&n induction kits on other cars and just wondered what you guys use on the 2.0T?

Nah, wasting your money. The stock air box is very well developed. I believe I was told by audi sport its good for up to 300hp. With stock air filter. If you want noise then go for this http://www.goapr.co.uk/products/intake_carbonio_b7a4.html

Thats what craigcull was running with the red 2.0t with the ko4. You can hear on his videos the induction noise he gets. Anything too open just gets heat soak. Which in turn defeats the point.

Mine did pick up with the K&N. Have also heard ITG good.

Only issue with the k and n is that its a oil coated filter. Which can cause issues with the MAF. But again down to preference if you clean the MAF every service you should be okay. Thou I know in most cases most people dont bother at all cleaning it. Only when it throws a engine light :) ITG is good for a dry application

Second that, K&N coated my map sensor and throttle body in crud. Swapped out for piperx instead and been fine since
