Aum/auq Ecu

Afternoon all......just a quick one. I've just read that you can replace the aum ecu with one from an Auq engine, giving 180bhp rather than the 150bhp? Is this actually doable. If so surely there'd be more info on this.

If it, does anything else like sensors need to be changed?

Yes, this is true. Not really much point unless you have an auq ecu kicking around.
Just get a remap dude.
 
Thought that might be the case! I do know of one kicking about so might be worth a try.

I assume though it would have to be coded? I have no idea when it comes to ecu's and vcds!!
 
You'll need to either code the immo to your car or have it removed.

Yeah, would need to be coded or have the ecu you intend to fits immobiliser coded out.

It's a hassle for 30bhp tbh, spend a little more and gain 60bhp from a stage 1 map of your current ecu.
