S4 Keyring....yay Or Nay?

Be better buying one of the proper Audi ones mate with the leather strap and the A4 logo on

I put "S4 keyring" on my must get list a year ago, at that time there was nothing around that I could find - so for me the moment had gone! When I got my S4, I grabbed a "no longer required" honking looking yellow iPod "sock" that younger daughter had left behind, and protected the key in that, wife's S4 key lives in a proper leather Intercar Brunnsum car key case, though maybe you have just make me consider this again. That design looks a bit old or retro, maybe there are other more modern ones out there now, though I'm sure that you have done your research!

I was made to feel special when I bought my secondhand S4 from an Audi dealer, he gave me "a really special" Audi keyring the one with the circles - keep that in your pocket and kneel down and it must snap and stab you badly - it lives in its special presentation box waiting to get ??????

If it had been a half decent Audi keyring I would have been happy enough, but it seemed like they had run out of their own dealer leather keyrings, either a lie or cars were "flying" out the door!

Looks like it will swing about and scratch the dash?

I got this one, great quality, but so it should be for the price!
eBay - Item # 171396552786

No idea why it has come up in dollars? It's £25 delivered.

Keyring fwends!

I want one but I'm concerned about it bumping about when driving and scuffing the trim over time. There's quite a few nice ones out there though.

Bit late on this....I have that key ring!
Got it because I like the old skool S4 badge and its a little different.
It did swing about too much when driving so I took out the chain bit

Its good quality but after a little wear and tear the silver coating is coming off at the edges.
Ideally could've done with a leather backing or similar

Without the chain its fine, doesn't hit the dash.
Only problem is because of my OCD, I find myself inserting the key in one-way so the keying side shows, as the back is plain!

I have this one too. Doesn't touch the dash. I insert the key so the keyring hoop is at the top and there's no hitting the dash or annoying rattling. Bought it for my wife years ago when she had an A4 and happened to find it a few weeks back!

Likewise, though so far I just have key + three of these "key rings" - must get a fourth one!

Just had a thought...going to ask MRC if they'll do a decent keyring...no badging outside the car, but a nice subtle reminder on my keys...

On my latest search for Supercharged badges, I found a USA site that was selling precut vinyl "bits" that promised to fit over the red bit of the Supercharged badges, they did them in a few colours including two blues something like $5.50 - though I'm sure we could cut our own for less, if we felt the need and could find the correct material. Might indicate that a car had been MRC'd?

Did see that actually, looks quite subtle

That one has, for me, the correct style attributes (whatever that means!), so an S4 equivalent might be just the job!

I use this one it definitely makes it easier to pull the key back out the dash and doesn't swing about either its subtle.

20 quid for a keyring is a bit steep lol unless its made of diamonds :lmfao:

Best bit mine was free!lol

I was being given a standard one with the key and I asked for this one!lol

No car snobbery intended, but when you have an S4, then you want an S4 keyring, or something completely unique, it will be the same for RS owners and R owners. Now if that carbon ring have S4 round its rim then ------- . The search/research goes on!

Minor thread revival, thought you might like... Just back from a navigational rally around Italy, I got to drive Imola the other day, the old oval and the current track. It was meant to be a parade lap, but we ended up going for it. What a hoot... came away with this...
