So I am currently contemplating either selling my 2.0TDI and getting a 1.8T or remapping my 2.0TDI with a Bluefin.

However i have read some threads on here (from a while back) saying that the Turbos on these are a bit flaky and if I get it remapped i will likely need to replace the Turbo.

How true is this? Im running a 2010 TDI (140bhp) on 29,000, nd as it stands it has cost me not 1p in repairs etc, If a remap is going to result in new turbos etc then i can't be bothered with that...

Ill be going to about 170 with a map - is the turbo the same in the 170 version?

2010 2.0 TDI 140 is a Common Rail engine. It's a newer design than the Pump Duse 140 (code BKD), which was known for going through turbos.

A basic remap shouldn't see you with any problems to be fair.
