I think my local TPS are pretty strict with the not selling to public rule so was just wondering if anyone on here is on good terms their local branch and could maybe get some prices for some bits and bobs?

Ive called scun Thorpe branch a few times for prices but never actually bought anything.Happy to deal with members of the public

I've phoned a couple of TPS around my area and they knocked my custom back because I wasn't in the trade, but my mate who has own garage said he can get me parts from them when required.
There's always a way round restrictions, ;)

Tps Medway used to deal with anyone, got my number plate plinth from them

There abit weird I ring up first time and they ask you what company your from and I say kwikfit as my mate works there So I pays over the phone and collects it and haves a look at the paperwork and they put the invoice address as kwikfit.

Rings up another time and the guy asks again what company and I say kwikfit and he goes ok I'll deliver it this afternoon lol I'm there thinking damn and goes it's ok mate I don't mind collecting it but he's there going don't worry we will deliver it for you. so I ended up ringing me mate telling him he's got a delivery coming from tps for me lol and had to pay on delivery aswell

where you located?

tps sheffield also deal with the public if it helps

Everything I've purchased so far audi has been cheaper than tps even though they get it off tps.

I'll agree with you there everything doesn't seem to be that cheap. I ordered a plinth plate and rear anti roll bar with all the bolts and saved about £3. Ordered egr gaskets and seals audi - £17 tps - £15. Aint really been worth the hassle

I bought the sensor under the steering wheel forget the name tps wanted £187 got it from audi for £160

Cash sales for me, Ajax. TPS in Crayford, North Kent. They've never been anything less than helpful. It's all business to them. I might not be in the trade, but my money's still green. :beerchug:

From what I've read on my local VAG forum my closest TPS seem to be hot and cold as to if they'll sell to the public or not. Looks like it seems to be down to individual branches if they want the extra business.
I just wondered if that's why some folk are charged more than a dealer would, individual TPS branches making a quick buck.
I've managed to find a local guy to me in the trade that uses TPS so awaiting prices back from him, wasn't planning on wasting my time with my Audi dealer but might now just to compare.
