Hi all, id first off like to thank the whole of the forum, its members and admins as i have took a whole load of information from here and its just generally a great place.
So i have had my Audi A3 2.0 TFSI Quattro (AXX) for just over a year, and a lot has changed.
Included in this build is:
and Soon to come on the list.
And probably much more, i will build this up over time as there are a lot of pictures to go through!
But first lets just look at my 2 previous cars.
First car, 1.25 fiesta with bad boy blue neons and racing stripes. LOL. I will say no more.
Second car was a Focus ST170 which i truly enjoyed driving. Well, enjoyed driving until i accidentally drifted around a large roundabout in the wet.
And this is the start of my A3 adventure, i went to view 3 before i bought this and they were all wrecks, and the one with the driver who drove 90mph in a 30 zone with the engine cold after i asked ‘if there was any dual carriageways to get it up to speed’ i left immediately and went home.
So i went to buy this and thought it was black, its not, its cambridge green, bought it anyway (only girls worry about colour!)
First off on the list was to remove the horrible outdated phone holder, looks like its for some Nokia from the 90’s, but i used this and connected my own iPhone 5 charger with a feed from the fuse box.
And this is the final look, u can see the ip5 charger just at the bottom which you can pull out and back in. I changed to a black one recently, the white was too obvious.
you can see i just connected the positive and then a group to the usb charger which i would push inside
Secondly was to install my extra subs which iv had with me since my first car. Iv now sold these unfortunately.
I will try and find a picture of them in. I also just tapped into the rear amp feed so i didnt need to add any new cables to run the extra amp.
Im a bit lazy and really didn't want to go through the firewall, so routed it under the bonnet and into the side of the door. Not noticeable in the slightest.
Then was to use this new plastidip on the front grill to black out the chrome.
THIS.
TO THIS.
Then i did the middle audi rings. This is the difference between rings and not rings if anyone was thinking about doing their own.
I fitted some painted eyelids bought from ebay for about £20 painted and delivered. I thought it actually looked ALOT better, But now removed because of new headlights.
Eyelids on, you can compare them to the previous plasti dip photo.
Then i put together a extremely cheap induction kit comprising of a S2000 filter like the 8L boys use and just some tubing. This was replaced later on with the MTC kit, you should now wonder what i used the spare unused pipes for. correct answers will earn 10 points.
The intake did make the car feel more responsive and much more induction noise, however i was unaware i had a huge boost leak. this would be fixed when remapping came about.
I hope everyone will enjoy this thread just as much as i will posting it.
