Hi all, id first off like to thank the whole of the forum, its members and admins as i have took a whole load of information from here and its just generally a great place.

So i have had my Audi A3 2.0 TFSI Quattro (AXX) for just over a year, and a lot has changed.

Included in this build is:
  • Remap from unicorn
  • Alloy change
  • Coilovers
  • Induction kit
  • Upgrade to S3 brakes
  • Dash iphone 5 charger/holder
  • Subwoofer install using original head unit +cables
  • RS3 spoiler
  • Footwell lighting front and back
  • DRL’s
  • Aftermarket headlights
  • Aftermarket front grill
  • Plastidipped grill
  • Dash cam install
  • B pillar vinyl
  • Interior trim vinyl
  • Bonnet vinyl
  • Rear light tint
  • HID kit from WellDone
  • and AudiSportsNet stickers!

and Soon to come on the list.

  • Devils own Water meth kit
  • Dumpvalve relocation kit
  • new throttle body pipe
  • RS3 rear bumper
  • Full car plastidipping

And probably much more, i will build this up over time as there are a lot of pictures to go through!

But first lets just look at my 2 previous cars.

First car, 1.25 fiesta with bad boy blue neons and racing stripes. LOL. I will say no more.

Second car was a Focus ST170 which i truly enjoyed driving. Well, enjoyed driving until i accidentally drifted around a large roundabout in the wet.

And this is the start of my A3 adventure, i went to view 3 before i bought this and they were all wrecks, and the one with the driver who drove 90mph in a 30 zone with the engine cold after i asked ‘if there was any dual carriageways to get it up to speed’ i left immediately and went home.

So i went to buy this and thought it was black, its not, its cambridge green, bought it anyway (only girls worry about colour!)

First off on the list was to remove the horrible outdated phone holder, looks like its for some Nokia from the 90’s, but i used this and connected my own iPhone 5 charger with a feed from the fuse box.

And this is the final look, u can see the ip5 charger just at the bottom which you can pull out and back in. I changed to a black one recently, the white was too obvious.

you can see i just connected the positive and then a group to the usb charger which i would push inside

Secondly was to install my extra subs which iv had with me since my first car. Iv now sold these unfortunately.
I will try and find a picture of them in. I also just tapped into the rear amp feed so i didnt need to add any new cables to run the extra amp.

Im a bit lazy and really didn't want to go through the firewall, so routed it under the bonnet and into the side of the door. Not noticeable in the slightest.

Then was to use this new plastidip on the front grill to black out the chrome.

THIS.

TO THIS.

Then i did the middle audi rings. This is the difference between rings and not rings if anyone was thinking about doing their own.

I fitted some painted eyelids bought from ebay for about £20 painted and delivered. I thought it actually looked ALOT better, But now removed because of new headlights.

Eyelids on, you can compare them to the previous plasti dip photo.

Then i put together a extremely cheap induction kit comprising of a S2000 filter like the 8L boys use and just some tubing. This was replaced later on with the MTC kit, you should now wonder what i used the spare unused pipes for. correct answers will earn 10 points.

The intake did make the car feel more responsive and much more induction noise, however i was unaware i had a huge boost leak. this would be fixed when remapping came about.

I hope everyone will enjoy this thread just as much as i will posting it.

The rest will come in time, i'm having to sort through photo's and things so i will update it in sections so i don't get confused about what iv posted and what i havn't, and i'm sorry for any repeat pics of things iv asked about or mentioned before, but at least it will be in one place now!

Looks good mate, i've just been doing an ICE install in mine and running 4AWG power cabling round the bonnet hole like you did was the only option! Just about fit lol look forward to seeing the rest :)

Sorry about the order of stuff but i cant remember.
So iv found out iv lost a load of pictures somewhere, so i will be taking new ones next week sometime to continue the thread.

So anyway here is part 2.

First off was to have the S3 brakes fitted, i bought a full set of 4 from ebay and just took it to the local garage and had them fitted on. They JUST fit on my original 17’s

And i hated the red… so this got bought.

I like to be different.

so from this…

to this… not the best paint job but i had work that night!

and then i bought a full set of 18’s in fairly good nick, however my friend tightened the locking wheel nut slightly too much and this had to be done.

but now look like this.

i then bought this from ebay for about £15.

I had seen people going over the standard trim with vinyl and i wanted to give it a go, im very bad at it but don't think it turned out too shabby.

The white makes the car soo much lighter inside, i had wood trim before. however it does get dirty quick!

Yes those were my new wheels in the back!

for anyone interested about attaching a external sub to the existing wiring this is how i linked the systems up. It was very easy and works great and saves new wiring or a new headunit.

Btw i like electrical blocks ALOT.

I then saw some DRL attached to the fog light grills on ebay from some german store, however they were over £100!!!! screw that.

i bought these for about £7 and fitted them the same, with a little fileing they fit great.

and just found an unimportant fuse and linked it in there.

Was she helping or?

Final.

Looking good so far, waiting on the B pillar vinyl, looking to do this myself soon. Also the headlights look interesting. BTW the brakes are not :s3addict::whip:

I meant to put, upgraded to S3 equivalent brakes, i believe they are R32 brakes! but the same 'size' :p

So right, after my epic oil problems, im now sorted!

A new cam chain and tensioner and oil pick up pipe sorted it.

Iv now had the car on the rollers after Rick's map. It has a slight boost leak and made 255bhp and nice smooth curves so happy with that.

Now that my problems are sorted i will carry on posting more stuff and since we now have some nice weather again will be doing many more things!

I have a new CHEAP front mounted intercooler from ebay on the way and a REVO throttle body from LVS racing also on the way ready for fitting and for a future water/meth kit. STAY TUNED!

be good to see how the I/C and the throttle body fair, I looked at the throttle body just on its own but couldn't find anyone doing it on a Ko3 car.

The only reason i'm fitting it is because of the ease of the water meth port already on it. In fact im going to order the meth kit now.
