Clipped a pigeon with my driver's side wing mirror driving home from work last night. The housing of the mirror survived, but the mirror didn't. £56 to replace the little bit of glass! They're having a giraffe... so, be careful with those mirrors. Very worrying how easily the glass left the mirror I might add as it was only the slightest of contacts. Oh and the pigeon lived. At least the bird had a happy ending, as for my wallet...

You're lucky, as dimming is £300 a side.

Did you test drive a BMW/Merc?

Apparently they're sending pigeon assassins for S3 owners!

Try TPS they should be cheaper. Fitting on the 8P was easy, hopefully the same with the 8V.

Yeh the dimming ones (and possibly heated ones too) are very expensive.

Dimming glass was £200 for me a couple of year back.

Mine are obviously heated, but not dimming. To put it into perspective, a work colleague dinged their mirror on a new ford focus ST, that was heated glass, £25. Audi just rip you off where ever they can IMO.

What's new about that, all manufacturers run a price fixing scam when it comes to parts anyway..
